The admission is strictly on the merit basis. The students are shortlisted on the basis of marks scored in 10th and 12th examination. After that councelling is done for document and final list of selected students will be announced.

Their is no compulsory internship for all students but all should have to do a project under the guidance of faculty member. Each students are assigned their task which have to be done our self with the help for faculties if required. I was assigned a task to survey local markets for electronics goods and i have done it successfully.

Placement and job opportunities are very good as compared to other institutes in jharkhand. More then 70% Technical students of BCA,MCA,B.TECH,M.TECH easily get job form here. Remaining 10-20 % students get job off-campus. Management student also have good average of 50-60% in getting job. It is good as compered to other institute in jharkhand.

Technical fest i.e TECHNIKA and state cultural festival BITOTSAV is celebrated every year in main campus TECHNIKA is are very famous among technical students from various students outside BIT meshra. Lots of events such as coding,gaming,online event etc are organised under TECHNIKA. Where as BITOTSAV is the biggest fest among BIT students. Their are cultural activities which is organised under this.

Educational loan is provided by various banks including SBI,UBI in the campus. Students can get loan easily outside the campus easily as BIT meshra is very famous and reputed and because of this bank approve for loan easily for BIT students.

Every this is quite good in ranchi. Shopping malls,local markets,visiting places are really attractive and can be visited once or twice a week. Sports and competitions are organised in campus and outside which make us happy. But students get opportunities for attending events,competitions in other colleges. Workshops are fully hi-tech and well mentioned with highly skilled faculty members.

Hostels are not available for BIT meshra, lalpur extension center however in main campus it compulsory for all students to stay inside in hostels. Hostels are fully wi-fi with good management and food availability and water supply. Food are also very good in main campus. 4 times meal is available for all students including breakfast ,lunch, snacks, dinner.

Alumni network and senior students are helpful at some situations is juniors really need help. Alumni always ready to help their college students but what we have to do is to contact with alumni and seniors regulary.As i am also a BIT alumni, I also helped my juniors for getting job outside the campus.
