Information about BCA from Arya PG College

There isn't any entrance exam. There is an admission form to Kurukshetra university that you have to fill out before the last date. Anybody can take admission in BCA from any stream on 11th-12th. Cut off is 63%. When you get your name on the list, you have to fill out an admission form for Arya PG College and submit the fees. You can submit the fees for the whole year and there is an option of paying it i.e. you can pay 60% in sem 1 and 40% in sem 2. As you know this field acquires to be updated with time but the syllabus of the college is degraded. Out of 80 students in a batch, only 3-4 students get placement. There isn't any standard of education here so i will not suggest anybody take admission here

IT stream is a very good option if you opt for a good place to study. If I talk about Arya College the syllabus is outdated. Teachers are cooperative but what will you do with the cooperation when you will not get proper resources. There is 1:80 faculty; student ratio. Max, they are post graduated. This is a 3-year course having 6 semesters. Semester exams are conducted in 6 months. There are 6 theory exams in every odd semester and 6 theory + 2 practical exams in the even semester. Exams are of 100 marks 80 marks for written and 20 marks for internal.

From the 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies don't actually visit the college. Students go to piet college to face interviews. The highest package is 150000 and the average package is 120000. 3.75% of students get placement during graduation rest pursue post-graduation. I will pursue for MCA as this is my last year and of course not from this college

Fee is taken per year but you have an option of paying it 60-40. 60% in odd semester and 40% in even . Approx 40,000 per year is the fee of this particular course. Scholarships are availed for backward class, not for general. If you have a financial problem, Principal sir gives concession. If I talk about placement, Only 3 out of 80 get placed with a very low package of 120000 per year. You can get a job in companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro.

There are many functions that are held on campus. There is NCC and NSS to join. The computer department also organizes separate programs, webinars, quiz, poster making competition etc. The college takes part in different zonal, district, state and national level competitions. The availability of books in the library is a 2:1 student: book ratio. There is a separate library in the computer department from which books are availed to those also who can not afford books related to course . Classrooms are not as good and desks are not comfortable . You can take part in sports . If you take part in any sports or any activity , 60% attendance is not compulsory for you
