Remarks
To get admission in B.Com the required percentage in the 12th board exam was 50%. The application form is available on the SAMS website. You can apply from home if you have a laptop or PC or can go to any CSC centre. I went to the CSC centre. The application fee was 3000 rupees. Reservation helps in hostel joining and getting scholarships. The admission process is fair, not that complicated. The only drawback is the less no. of employ. As a result admission process may become lengthy. Recruiting more office employees could make the situation better.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I was interested in maths, business and most of all I was curious about how the banks work. Faculty-student ratio is about approximately 15:1 respectively for students and teachers. All the faculties are well educated, each with PG qualification and very good teaching experience. Teaching methods are good, interactive, innovative and mostly friendly. Term exams are yet to be held. I did appear for the mid-term exam which was as expected a little hard but it's fine we have got good teachers.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike policy affects negatively the life of poor students like me. We have no proper source of income and hence are troubled by the price hike. There are many scholarships offered in college but the most applied are e-medhabrutti and post-matric scholarships. There is no placement in our college, it just provides quality education.
Campus Life
Every year several festivals are conducted in our college which includes puja's like Ganesh Puja and Saraswati Puja. Several cultural, sports and games programs are also conducted. The library is not good. No.of books are not available. And entry to the library is prohibited. No monthly or weekly journal comes into the library. The ground is big but the only sports or games played are cricket, volleyball and kho-kho. Extracurricular activities are nill. No clubs or social groups are there. Mostly our college is not developed enough.
