Remarks

To be eligible to be enrolled in the MCA ( Master of Computer Application ) course, you should have completed your Graduation with either 3 year or 4 year degree course with science or tech background (i.e. B.SC, BCA, Btech) The scond Step to get Admission will be to give Kerela MCA state exam , after getting a decent rank in that, you can directly approach college for the admission No, i did not availed any reservation benifits

Course Curriculum Overview

As i mentioned earlier, I completed my Bachelor of Computer Application degree in 2019, so MCA was the best option for me to complete my Post graduation. that is why i chose this course The Student to faculty ratio here is abour 50:1 approximately The teachers are very helpful and strict at the same time The exams are conducted 1 time per semester

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 94000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fees for Doing the Complete MCA will be somewhere around 2 Lakh Rupees ( for 2 years ) Which is also reasonable as the college facilities are very good The Students who need Accomodation will be required to give another 80000 rupees per year ( mess charges are included ) As of Now , there is no facility if scholarships given directly by the college , rather , you can go for state Governement Scholarships

Campus Life

The college campus is not that big , but the buildings are very beautiful and the locality where the college lies is also very decent and peaceful There are 2 basketball courts (one is recently built) The college library is veruy well maintained and you can issue upto five books at once for you self study The most played sport which is being played in college is Cricket

Placement Experience:

For Integrated MCA, students become eligible for placements since the 9th semester. For Btech, its 7th semester. Some of the companies that visited our college are SOTI, UST, Leopard Technologies, Safran Digit. There are many other companies that we can apply to but those drives are not conducted at our college like experion technologies and G10X technologies. Our college is the only college in Kerala from where students are hired by Safran Digit. I have gotten placement in G10X technoologies private limited.

Nirmala College Muvattupuzha - A Good Campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed MCA at Nirmala College due to several reasons: • It is a course which is open to anyone who has passed any bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% and above. The only prerequisite is that one need to attend the annual LBS MCA entrance examination to secure admission to this course. • The syllabus of MCA in this college is affiliated with that of MG University, Kottayam. It is a vast syllabus covering various applications of computer science including programming in various languages such as C, Java, PHP, Python, data structures, algorithms, statistics, data mining, machine learning, software engineering, networking, etc. • The course is theoretically good but practically it doesn't really equip all students with enough knowledge and understanding to be placed in a good IT company. Some portions could be excluded from various theory subjects such as Networking with TCp/Ip and Algorithms Analysis.

Exploring the Pathways of Excellence

Placement Experience:

students typically become eligible for campus placements strarting from the 7th semester of their engineering program. preparation for placements starts in the 6th semester. Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, IBM, Amazon etc. the numbers of offers made varies each year, but on average, each major recruiting company makes 5 to 20 offfers during the placement season. Highest package can go upto 15-20 LPA offered by companies like Amazon, oracleetc. and average package range between INR 4-6 LPA like profiles offered are Software Developer, Data Analyst, Project Manager etc. Approximately 70-80% of eligible students secure placements through campus recruitment drives. My pan is to secure a job and after getting stable then trying to do my wn business in this field.

I have completed BCA so I followed its corresponding post graduation . There are 7 faculties at Calicut University campus for MMCAand a Lab assistant. The faculties must complete post graduation or any higher education (PhD or net qualified). In MCA exams are conducted by sem vise so there should be a semester exam after each. It is not that much easy to pass these exams so need to focus on each subjects thoroughly
