Remarks

The college has a whole lot to improve. Right from working on its faculty, labs and providing that wholesome experience for an individual in what is considered the last leg of education, a last opportunity as an organization to influence and shape one's attitude and aptitude. And also work towards generating a good raport and relationships with organization by taking into the current market trends and tailoring the curriculum and make the students marker-ready. Thus increasing the chances of placements.

Entrance Preview

Since I finished my graduation from Karnataka I had little time to appear for entrance tests in Pune. And this was the only one available at that point in time. I kind of scored around 90% in the tests.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum was excellent except for functional ones. Though the course was titled with Management it was weak in management concepts but what it lacked in Management it kind of compensated on software and network topics.

Internships Opportunities

I was offered a project as part of my last year assignment at NIC (National Institute of Computer) a govt run organisation. I was involved in making a software for Solapur Water Billing system. It was no internship per say so no stipend. But I was employed immediate after my final year.

Placement Experience

2.5

We had placements only for MBA students and not for MCM. But I took the initiative along with few other peers and approached various companies in Mumbai, Pune and Chennai. Well, from zero placements we had atleast one company turn up that year for placments.

College Events

1

We had an annual cultural event that involved all the streams in the college including MBA and the other streams. It involved dance, games, cricket, chess and various other competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was pretty reasonable it was INR 60,000 for each year. Unfortunately since I was from a different state in terms of my graduation I had to pay double the amount.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was no scholarship or loan facility offered by the college. It would have been great if there was none since I know there were students from difficult background.

Campus Life

3

The only thing that was good was the debates and the tech competitions. How I wish there were more to than just technical and management topics to work on. Robotics would have been a good addition.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

The college had no support for hostel or mess. In fact till the time I was in college there was no mess or canteen either.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumnus is strong and right now the alumnus has taken to social media and we have a page in FB where each one contributes their ideas. Since I am far away from Pune, I am unable to attend any of the alumni meet but I am well connected with the alumnus.

Exam Structure

We had exams almost bi-monthly. Exams and labs were not exhaustive for me since I enjoyed the labs. Moreover having a software background in my graduation I didn't find it hard to cope with the syllabus.

Faculty

3

Not all that great. Frankly speaking most of the learning was done by reading different books and less from the faculty. Thankfully the faculty for the software division was at least keen and showed more interest on our grooming up than the others.

From 4 semester students become eligible for placement because in 2 semester we can select specialization till that we have common subjects. The college so far doesn't have any tie ups with MNC's . Majorly startups or small-scale organisations are offered to the students. And placement is also given in internship+ PPO basis with starting package of around 3-4 Lakhs

Firstly they will tell you that they will give you 3 placement opportunities if you are selected by one company and you have another company and you find this interesting then you can apply for it. But letter If you are selected by one company and you are interested in another company then placement will remove your name and tell you that please give a chance to someone else they will bless you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to pursue a distance learning course after completing my Chartered Accountancy course because I was working as well. So I opted for SCDL as I got the freedom to choose my exam slots as per my availability and at the same time, I was able to manage my job. We had 17 subjects in the entire course duration and 17 assignments of each subject and a project at the end. The faculty was less as compared to the number of students in a batch as the class strength was more than 30 and the faculty members were 12. Each one of our teachers was well-qualified and was well-versed in their subject. There were virtual classes of every subject and we used to study online in group sessions. The teachers used to teach us from Powerpoint presentations. The exams were held once each month. There was an 80 minutes online exam at the respective examination center allotted to us. The exam contained multiple choice questions on the subject. The level of exams was exam and it was not tough to pass the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course since I had a bit of interest in chemistry, a bit in biology, a bit in maths when I was in 12th and deciding the course. Pharmacy and MBA provide me with a huge range of knowledge and my field of interest. The faculty here are just awesome, they are literally on their toes to help at any point of difficulty be it academic-wise or non-academic. I feel like a family here. We are provided with mentors (1 teacher: 5 students). 1:60 ratio in class and 2:22 ratio during lab work. The moment you chose the course and are into it every week is an examination. But thanks to the faculty to make our lives easier by timely finishing the portion, providing tutorials and study materials.
