Remarks
Overall i had great time there there were few things which required improvements which i already mentioned like faculty, curriculum, hostel and canteen.
Entrance Preview
It was a direct entrance for this particular college. First written exam then group discussions followed by two rounds of interviews.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum was decent. They had 9-10 subjects overall and we were provided by the college books which was exclusively for sinhgad's student use only. Also we were given heavy notes during classes which were additional matter to refer too but that was quite useful in some cases.
Internships Opportunities
I did my internship in Mumbai while my college was in Pune. It was first time experience and exposure to real corporate world. I did that for 2 big months and gain knowledge that where i decided to how to move further in my career Rs 5000 stipend was offered to me then which seemed too much that time.
Placement Experience
Placements were bad then i am talking about 2009-10 were the recession had spoiled lot of careers. Companies like Deuch Bank,Birla had come for placements. They offered not more than 3.5 Lacs pa.
College Events
There was only one event which was Annual Day which use to happen and sometimes fate and games. Group dance and industry visit was also the part of the college. Student use to participate alot.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was expensive for us. But students and their parents were ready to give donations as well. There were extra charges for hostel and food.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes they use to provide student loan facility but i opted out of it. I don't remember much of this since my friends used it but not me.
Campus Life
Gender ratio was Male,female 6:4 so they were more boys as compared to girls. Campus life was fun filled since the campus was huge they had shops,parlor,restaurants inside the campus. Students can study anywhere. In sports there was a huge play ground where boys used to play cricket.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel was decent but small,rooms were more like small dormitories wherein 6 girls were put together. Canteens served food which was not worth taking it was more watery than substance.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors didnot rag us at the first place they were quite helpful with everything. They shared their good experiences with us which helped us in our preparations for exams.
Exam Structure
Exams were held at the college premises since we had huge campus advantage. There were 2 final semester exams any four semi final semester exams. Labs were neat and clean. It was hectic since we were prepared for heavy presentations.
Faculty
Faculty was not that great they could have been better in terms of knowledge and presentation. Few of them were very good but more than 60% of them were below standard.
