IIT Patna Review

If one is getting an opportunity to be part of IIT Patna then I think you should grab that opportunity so far I can say that IIT Patna is one of the best colleges as per my experience. The college has all the facilities that are needed to teach us to develop our personality. The admission form is filled from the college website and I cleared my JEE exam and appeared for JOSAA counselling. The college seat is allotted through the JOSAA counselling only.

The curriculum follows all the latest industrial developments. The curriculum covers all the topics related to inorganic chemical technology, momentum transfer, process calculation, organic chemical technology, physical chemistry, transforms and partial differential equations, Chemical Engineering thermodynamics, particulate science and technology, environmental engineering, fluid mechanics lab, physical chemistry lab and etc. The faculty of the college is well trained and they have completed their PhD program degree from the top universities of India and their industrial exposure is very helpful for us. As their teaching methods are very good and very interactive sessions take place in the class lectures.

The internship program is very well designed and we can take part in the college internship program after the second year of our program or at the beginning of the third year. The average stipend for the internship is around 55k.

The college regularly works on placement and the college placement committee is dedicated to the placement technique and constantly focuses on improving the placement quality. The college manages to maintain a record of 100% placement and the highest pavement offers goes up to 61 LPA and the average salary offers is around 20 LPA. Google, Microsoft, DE Shaw, Amazon, Games Kart, Rakuten are among the college's top recruiters and more than 100+ companies visit the campus during the placement drive.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarships for UG and MSc, For Gen/OBC, For SC/ST, Top Class Scheme for SC, Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for RPF/RPSF, Post-matric Scholarship are some of the college scholarship schemes through which college provides scholarships to needy and deserving.

The college organises regular quizzes and debate competitions to check the communication and academic skill and then the faculties of the college help us to improve our personality. The college infra is good. the classrooms are designed very nicely that it does not feel dark and outdated. The college library was recently renovated and the seating arrangements was quite books and many new books were order and the books collection of the library is very good. The labs are also well-designed and all the tools for research and project were available.

The hostel is one of the best USPs of the college. The rooms are well maintained and very well designed. The rooms are available on a single, double and triple accommodation basis. The hostel mess food is good and the menu is very diverse. The wardens are not only professional but they work hard to maintain the college discipline very well. The hostel campus has a WiFi facility and indoor games facility and study rooms facility is also available.
