Its a decent college a very good one especially for freshers. decent average package as a start for an individual

XAT - This was one of the best options I had as a fresher. Its in top 20 in India. A decent college that is why I went for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

Its above average. Teachers are good. Curriculum is well defined, gives u the liberty to choose what line u want to go into. Variety of subjects and vast knowledge available. Library books helps u learn more than what a course offers. Its nice with always scope for improvement.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, and it was excellent, I got through one of the best brands with a very good stipend per month. they also give pre placement offers.

Placement Experience

It depends on an individual how his/her cv is opportunities are many. Average package is above 8.5 lakhs per annum. One needs to learn the knowledge of subjects as well as be street smart to land best jobs

College Events

Every festivals, holi, diwali, lohri, christmas, new year, plus debates, quizzes, sports, cricket, football, tennis, swimming and what not. All year round. This is one of the best things about this colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is increasing year in year out but that is the trend these days un fortuntely. But so is the avergae package as well. now its around 15 lakhs

Not that i am aware of but there are scholarships that college gives of diffrnt types especially for girl students.

Its quite right. trimesters are there just like any B school. It is hectic if u dont study or else it is quite structured and also what is taught everything comes from there.

Most of them are very good. Experienced teachers with mix of industry knowledge and youth as well. Some are always not at par, but the best thing is u can always complain and get them changed as and when u want. One can have quality discussions with guest speakers.

Beyond the Campus Gates of GIM

Placement Experience:

The placement record has been 100% for years now. The SIP process begins in the first year and final placement process starts in the early-middle of second year. The highest package went upto 55 Lacs last year, lowest was around 12 Lacs. I plan to take direct placement from the college and start my corporate career.

Great platform to transform yourself

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good and faculties are also very qualified. I choose BDA because of its value in the market and my interest area. BDA of GIM is even beating it's flagship course in terms of placements. But the thing is you have to come prepared before coming to B-School. In term-1, there will be basic subjects only but companies coming for summer internship will expect more from you. So, my advice would be to invest the time students get in between admission in B-School and joining the B-School in improving their skills sets.

College way to enter in professional world.

Remarks:

Goa university department of management and studies is very good college for the student who was polish there knowledge through help of faculties who are expertise in there own field. It definitely help to grain more knowledge and improvements of skill but only major thing issue is of placement. There has been not proper placement over the years which should be given priority and introduction of new companies for placement should be brought. Also campus should be focused more and should be improve to some extent.

XAT - 99 percentile. This was the best one that got converted for me in the first attempt. Was wait listed in the other. Given its a tier 1 college with good curriculum & great placement, so it was a no brainer hence went ahead

I had given the CAT examination and scored 95.36 percentile. There is no sectional cutoff for this college. 80 is the cutoff for cat. Steps of admission process were as follows: 1. Minimum 50% aggregate in Bachelor's Degree 2. Clear cutoff of CAT(approx 85%ile)/XAT(approx 80%ile)/GMAT/CMAT respectively (any one is enough) *They also have an Achiever's Round 3. Shortlisting based on overall academic background 4. Written Ability Test (WAT) - Basic opinion on some random topic is asked, fully proctored 5. Online Interview - Checks basic intellect, general awareness, concept clarity 6. Admission Letter ALL THE NECESSARY DETAILS RELATED TO THE ADMISSION PROCESS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF GIM In my opinion, the selection process is rigourous enough, I was asked only relevant questions and tasks to do throughout.
