For getting admission, one has to clear JEE Advanced, which is conducted every year, and for appearing in JEE advanced, one has to clear JEE main, which is completed twice every year in Jan and April. The application form is generally available on jee adv.ac.in, and for mains is available on jeemain.nta.nic.in. I belong to the general category, but since I am a female, I got an advantage over female seats and got admission at a lower rank (Female Quota of 20 per cent).

My father had a chemical factory, and I also had a particular interest in chemistry, so I decided to go for Core chemistry in IITs. The course is well designed and to the point. Our department has around 20 professors and 18-19 students in every batch, so the faculty: student ratio turns out to be 1:1. All the faculties are PhD graduates and are well-versed in their fields. Also, they are accommodating. We have mid sem and end sem every semester and the marks distribution is decided by the course convener, they are easy to pass if someone attends the lectures daily.

Students are eligible for placements in their final year or second last semester. Many companies visit our campus like Rakuten, Flipkart, eightfold.ai, Accenture, Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs. No of the offers made this year was above 1000. The highest package was 2.16 crore per annum (international) while 60 LPA (domestic), the average is around 15-16 LPA. Around 90 per cent of students got placed in the first phase of placements. I have to go for PhD after my graduation, it is not fixed, but yeah, I am thinking too.

The fee is fixed for IITs, and it is under the MHRD, around 1.06L per semester. The cost of the study is a bit higher than other Bachelor's degrees. Students whose family incomes are less than 5LPA get a discount of 2/3 tuition fee every sem

We have mainly four fests, Technex, Kashiyatra (KY), Spardha and FMCW every year, Technex in March, Kashiyarta April, Spardha in June and FMCW in December. The library has a lot of books, and it is open till 11 PM every day. Around 18 sports are played on the campus, and we have a club for each sport that is specially dedicated to the sport. Many clubs are run by the students, who are mainly COPS(Coding), Biz (business) club, SPC(Social project), SNTC (Robotics), Dance (DFZ) IMC/WMC (Indian/Western Music)
