Remarks
You are eligible for a bachelor of pharmacy course in RPIIT campus if you have passed class 12 with atleast 50% marks in PCB or PCM subjects from any of the boards. You can find the application form, fees and dates on the college website I.e. https://www.rpiit.com/ or you can visit the college any time between 10am- 4pm (mon-fri) Admission process does not need an improvement as it is quite basic and simple.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have a family pharmacy business, so i pursued this B. Pharmacy course. The faculty:student ratio is around 1:60 Teachers are either bachelor in pharmacy or are masters in pharmacy or they have a degree called PharmD. The theoretical teaching is good but the campus lacks good labs and equipments so the students are unable to learn practicals. The difficulty of the term exam is between moderate and difficult but they are easy to pass as the exam question paper is never out of syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
Internship programs in college include practice and giving prescriptions in any hospitals the college approves. Some factories and production units or marketing pharmacy firms also hire interns. The internships are mostly unpaid.
Placement Experience
After the completion of 7th sem, students become eligible for placements. Some good companies like Cipla and Ranbaxy visit and offers placement to students. Highest package for a student may be 35-40k/m And average package is 20-25k/month. More than 80% students get placements. I plan to pursue Masters in Pharmacy after completion of the course
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees per semester is around 40000 rupees. There is a government scholarship program which i was not aware of at my time of admission. According to this scholarship program, fees of the student is reduced by 50% according to some criteria in 12th class board exams.
Campus Life
I am a student of Bachelor in Pharmacy and currently in 3rd sem and i have witnessed not a single good event being held in the campus. We did not have a freshers party and there are no activity clubs where a student can join and participate in it. The books and journals in library are good and accurate. No amenity in whole campus. There was a cricket ground a few months back which they have turned into an agricultural grou f now, there was also a fitness club which is now abandoned and no availability of any sports and extra curricular activities are held in college.
