Shri Harishchandr post graduate college

This is a post-graduation course whose eligibility is possessing a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50%. The application form admission is released on the official website of the college i.e hcpgc.com It is generally released in the month of June or July. Application fees for the admission form are 500. Entrance examinations are held for choosing the candidate. The cut-off is released approximately one month after the examination. Reservation benefits are provided according to rules .one needs to present his caste eligibility certificate for availing of this benefit. Admission is held through offline counseling where documents are verified and thereafter one pays the fee. After this, he is successfully enrolled in that institute.

This postgraduate course is chosen by me as I want to become a professor by qualifying NET. This subject has vast scope in future. The faculty students ratio is nearly 60. Many students are not regular due to which it does not remain constant. The professors working here have doctorate degrees and experience in teaching. some new professors are also there who have completed their pg and pursuing Ph.D. They work here as temporary or guest teachers. Exams are held in semester one in November and the other in April or May. Exams are conducted timely and results are declared accordingly.

This college is owned by the government so the fees do not hike regularly. Fees are very affordable and can be availed by students of poor and middle-class families. Scholarships are provided by the state government. The scholarship is given to all regular students. They need to fill up the scholarship form which comes online every year. After submitted the forms are forwarded by the college and students get scholarships at the end of the session. Generally for this course campus placement does not occur here.

The annual fest is not celebrated here but sports activities are held from time to time. It generally occurs in the winter season either in December or January. The library is there but the books present here are of the old edition.Library name is Malti sharda sadan pustakalay. One can issue a book from here for a period of one week. Extracurricular activities like Rashtriya Seva yojna , campaign for social awareness, National cadet corps, etc are offered by the college. Social groups of students are made on the basis of student elections held in college. students elect one representative who is responsible for solving the problems which they face in college.
