Yes there is an entrance exam because it's Deemed University, easily we can get the forms and application fee is 200rs and there is no improvement needed , while I'm entering college starting itself there is a big board there everything mentioned all the courses, duration, and Fee structure everything

Course Curriculum Overview

EEE department fee structure is very less here compared to other universities and faculties are really good there is some rules but not very strict and punishments, all teachers done PH.D here very well experienced. Monthly exams they are conducting so semester exams are easy to get pass marks

Internships Opportunities

For 1day Intership students need to ask sir/mam please take us some intern then they will show some intrest and take us , two internship we went in 3rd year of college , management only provide bus rest we have to take care like food and snacks, we can go for a week interns also but we need HOD permission to get OD for that but this is easy because our HOD is students friendly person

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees was very decent and less compared to other colleges, for some caste they get scholarship also, but the only issue is no campus , some random companies will come they will provide call letter also but after that they won't call you for the job very worst ,there is no job opportunities.

Campus Life

Best thing here is vels nakshatra many celebrities will come , college chairman is a big producer in cinema so many celebrities will some very often for all the functions, Library was very good they are maintaining it not large number of books but for subject books many authors available, only Facebook they are having Vels University no student groups

Hostel Facilities

Hostal facilities are good they allow 4 person in one room , for each person one cot and safety locker they provide rest you have to buy like water heater and sound system everything is allowed here mobile phones also allowed free wifi and TV is there but students collect money to recharge the DTH, coming to food department very worst from my 1st day of college to 7th day it was veryy good after a week totally quality and quantity wise very bad we can't eat there dhosa worst we will buy from outside, and Near by many PG also available with good facilities

Placement Experience:

Placements starts from the 7th semester.companies Like tcs,wipro,zoho,infosys vist. The highest packages is 24lap,average 3lpa and around 85%of student get placed. I plan to start my career in IT and gain experience.

There are companies but the companies that were told that the good ones, they didn't come so much.. only a few companies that gave a package above 5 lakhs came in for my department.. the rest of them were either 4 lakh package or below it was not very good. even the 1 or 2 good companies that came tehy came for electrical.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Placement Experience:

So from 6-7th semester they offers placements before that we have placement training in campus.So highest package for 2024 was 45 to 50 lpa,good offer given by amazon and other company also.So the average package is 7.5 lpa and highest package was 50 lpa.so 925 application are accepted in last 2 monts .My plans to get job and then after 2 years may be for higher study or startups.

The curriculum of each course is different and it is followed by the guidance of Anna university, we have several topics and it is under the regulation of 2021 respectively, I feel this easier to learn and there comes an opportunity to do what we learn in theory hour in our laboratory hour it will make more connected to our course, but there is lagging factor that is we are far away from the modern world and we need to put effort to compete with. The exams are not difficult and the frequency of the exam is quite manageable.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 3rd year for placements and also who don't have standing arrears ,if they have standing arrears the clg management will remove them from placements and also the Placements are very poor . The average package is 350000/year . And the maximum package is 15L Last year nearly 100 students out of 180 in cse dept are non-placed , they are forced to write higher studies letter and submit in college . Even though they won't help for any placement side.

Vels University is not that bad

It's very easy to get admission in this college as the admission procedure is very simple. You can directly go to the head office, and you can contact the people sitting in the reception. They'll guide you and throughout the admission. Also, it's near to the airport, which should make a travel entry for the students who are coming from the other states. Also it is situated in a very good place. The college is situated in Pallavaram, which has various like basically everything is present there beat food beat hostels. it's a good place. The location of the college is very good making it very accessible other than the location. The faculties are very nice.
