Remarks
The college was strict as far as descipline, attendance and curriculum was concerned. A little more infrastructural help in extra curricular activities and placement from the management should do wonders for the students.
Entrance Preview
RPET Rajasthan Pre-Entrance Test. I chose this college as I was getting the branch of my choice I.e. Electronics and communication in this college. Also the result and placement of this college was quite good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is as per the norms of Rajasthan University with required emphasis on practical subjects including the labs, project work, 90 days company training etc.The first year subjects are the basics of all the branches of engineering and the specialization of electronic and communication begins from the second year of college.
Internships Opportunities
No, our college do not provide internship. For our 90 days internship projects we had to take two internships one after second year. That I took at IIT Powai and the other after third year that I took in Videocon , Ahamdabad.
Placement Experience
The placement cell of our college was very sound and active. There were many on campus placements like Satyam(2.2 lac), Infosys(2.75lac) etc and many invites came for off campus interviews for companies such as IBM(2.9 lac), Tech mahindra (2.7 lac), Patni computers(3.0 lac), LnT ,Persistent (3.7 lac) etc. By the end of the final year more than 80% of the batch was placed in one or the other company. But due to recession , many companies did not ply with their given joining dates and hence cancelled their placement.
College Events
The cultural fest Navrang was a huge hit including all the other engineering colleges of Jodhpur. Also the first technical fest was organised Telekinesis that got a huge response from the students sponsors and faculty.Although, the infrastructure support from he college was lacking.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible. Per semester 43,000/- rs were taken including the examination fee and curriculum fees which was in par with the other private enginnering colleges in Rajashan. An additional 6000/- rs was taken for private bus services that was quite necessary as the campus is situated on the outskirts of the city.
Fees and Financial Aid
There were not many scholarship programs or loan facilities back then as per my knowledge. In the recent years there have been news of bank tie ups such as UCO bank etc with the college for loan facility.
Campus Life
The gender ratio was quite good as compared to other engineering colleges with as approximation of 1:4.There was a healthy rapport between seniors and juniors with rituals like fresher's welcome farewell parties( branch wise and collective) Also there were inter college events such as debate competitions, Hindi diwas celebration,Engineers day,Blood donation camps, etc. Our college also was a major organiser and sponsor to a cultural event cum a health check up program organised for physically challenged children of jodhpur named Taare.
