Exam GATE Score 364 Reason to choose Pharmaceutical Chemistry. My personal interest in Chemistry over other branches of Pharmacy.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course was perfect, some selected aspects of Pharmaceutical Chemistry were included in the course curriculum, but those were to study in full detail including recent advances. Thus the course was really a masters course.

Internships Opportunities

The college had no internship for M.Pharmacy students. However many companies had visited the college for the campus placement of the Diploma, Degree and Masters students.

Placement Experience

3.5

Various companies had visited in the previous years including Apollo Pharmacy, Cipla, Cadila, Lupin Pharma Ltd., Ranbaxy, etc. The masters students were offered packages ranging 1.8 to 2.5 lacs, B. Pharmacy students were offered 1.2 to 2.4 lacs. The job profile of students placed were marketing, QA, QC, R&D scientist, production etc. Many students were also placed in academics.

College Events

2.5

During the two years I was there only two cultural type events and one technical events were held. The cultural events included the annual function of the Institute every year and the sports festival every year. One national level seminar was also held in the Institute and many delegates participated in that seminar from all over India.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for M.Pharmacy were little expensive i was charged INR 3.6 lacs for two years. However from the next batch the fees for the course was reduced to 2 lacs for the complete course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offered loan facilities for the students from various national banks like SBI, PNB, Syndicate bank. Various scholarships were also availed to the students belonging to low income families. I was also availed scholarship of INR 8000 per month from AICTE for two years based on my GATE score.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There was only Girl's hostel inside the campus, that was also too small and on sharing basis. We lived there in the PG. PGs were very cheap there, the food of mess was of average quality and price was very low.Total expanses for a month for the room and food were only INR 2000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors were very friendly, cooperative and very decent in nature. In the starting we faced language problem, our seniors helped us for this, they guided us about how to speak the regional language. They also told us about the culture of that place. They also helped us for our research projects.

Exam Structure

Two college level exams were held in every semester followed by annual exam at Bhubaneshwar. The pattern of exam and marking was good, and grade points were given rather than direct marking. Labs were very good with all modern equipments in the labs. I really enjoyed working in the labs.

Faculty

4.5

The college had well experienced faculty members for each course and each subject. Most of them were either PhD or pursuing Ph.D. All the faculty members were talented and helping in nature.

Course Curriculum Overview:

After completion of B Pharm I was in a dilemma that whether I should go for job or what? My teacher's and seniors told me that if you will do masters then you will be having more opportunities in your field, So I prefered to do Master's. In case of teaching methods one thing is there that has to be changed that is teacher's must provide written notes to students so that it will somehow easy for them to understand a topic properly.
