Remarks
JECRC college is affiliated with RTU, so you have to apply for JECRC or other RTU-affiliated colleges through REAP(Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process). Anyone can find the application online on rtu.ac.in, here they update all the information about the application process and all important dates. In REAP they give preference to JEE score but I had an Ex-servicemen reservation, which is 2%, so it was easy for me to get admission with a lower JEE score than the general cut-off that is around 85 percentile or above for CSE. The application fee is only 200rs, which is great because most of the other application forms of universities and colleges are very expensive and we all apply for a lot of colleges. The application process is very easy and in the end, you have to fill in your college and branch preference.
Course Curriculum Overview
In 11th standard, I was first introduced to coding and I loved it, how some simple lines can do so much. So I decided to opt for computer science engineering. It's fun to learn all these new languages and make programs. The faculty is constituted of well-educated doctorates. They are excellent in their fields and the best part is that if you have any queries then they will give you extra time after the class. (it's a lie when people say college teachers do not care and give attention to every single student, all you have to do is ask for help and they will help). They conduct 2 mid-terms and 1 final RTU exam, each semester. The mid-terms give you a brief about how the RTU exam will be and their marks will be added to the final result. RTU final exams are a bit tough but if you had prepared for mid-terms then it would not be much difficult to pass with a good score. The teachers will prepare you for it, and the library has enough books to help you with it all.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are not many as they say but many seniors have their startups and they give their juniors internships to help them with experience and jobs. Many times the seniors who have worked with other companies also invite students to take up internships in their companies.
Placement Experience
4th-year students are eligible for campus placements. The college provides you with interview and placement skill classes around that time. Many companies come and offer jobs such as Accenture(4.5 to 6.5 LPA), HPE India(10LPA), bill desk(8 LPA),l and t infotech(6.5 to 8LPA), tech Mahindra, ZS associates(9LPA), and many more companies. Last year 85 such companies took part and offered 1400+ jobs, which is the highest of all years. 100% of students were offered campus placements. The average package is 4LPA but the highest went up to 15LPA. my plan after graduation is to fight for government jobs but I will be doing that with the campus placement because it's best to have a backup.
Fees and Financial Aid
CSE is usually an expensive course, so paying 85000rs per year does not seem a lot. It is very affordable for a student from a middle-class family. Let's do not forget that not everyone can afford it, for that they have EWS category and time to time they inform students about all the scholarship schemes available through emails and SMS. The campus jobs are great, and many companies come. 100% placement record for years.
Campus Life
There is an annual fest called Renaissance. it is the biggest fest of the college and the most amazing one you will get to see. There is music, dance, literature, social debates, and many fun activities. It has something for everyone. Other than that, there are many exhibitions and tech fests, where students showcase their works. I love the robotics fest, where they present all the robots that they have created in college after study hours. Since it is a complete engineering college, I expected it to have not much craze of sports, but the college has basketball, football, cricket, badminton, volleyball courts, and an excellent team. Every year new students take part in them with enthusiasm. They have many inter-college competitions. there are many clubs, social and educational. It will take me hours to describe the clubs and the great work they do, so I will only tell about the ones I was part of that are FFJ (plants trees all around Jaipur), and coach(teach unprivileged kids).
