To pursue Diploma in Electronics and Communication from Government Polytechnic College Jamnagar I have cleared 10th from Gujrat board one can do from any board. After the 10th one has to fill ACPDC form from their site and fill out fees and go for counseling. The admission process was smooth and no need for improvement.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I wanted to become Engineering and ECE is my favorite branch so I decided to go for diploma instead of going with schooling and wasting time in memorizing things I decided to learn practical things in diploma. There was 1 teacher for each Subject in a class of 45. There were 60 sheets but admission was only 45 in my batch. Teachers were Masters in Engineering. In every semester we have to give mid sem and end sem.
Placement Experience
In the final semester we get eligible for placement, the college has a nice placement cell which brings companies like LNT, Reliance, GTPL, etc for placement who provide a maximum package of 25K per month but they want 3year contact. The placement record is very low because most students go for a Degree program instead of Getting a placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The best part of Government College is negligible fees we have to pay only 1500rs as fees for 1year. Other than that GTU takes exam fees of around 500-1000 every semester. I never get any scholarships but other students from obc and other reservation criteria were getting scholarships such as MYSY and Digital Gujrat Which is the most famous scholarship and everyone knows it.
Campus Life
There are no Clubs in college but every year colleges conducted Techfest for students to showcase and enhance their technical knowledge. Sports facilities were also here to zero or else you can say no sports facilities. There was a library with a decent book collection.
