IIT Jodhpur Review

I was looking for a college with good placement for MBA and I wanted to complete my MBA from IIT as IITs are quite popular for their placement and education standards. There are very few IITs that provides good placement for MBA students and IIT Jodhpur was one of them. IIT Jodhpur provides good placement for MBA and the education standards are also very high. So, I decided to be part of IIT Jodhpur. The candidate has to pass the CAT exam and must secure a minimum of 60% marks in its bachelor's degree and 55% for SC/ST/PWD students. The candidate is selected through CAT score and the final selection is made on the basis of the Composit Merit List. To fill the admission form a candidate has to visit the college official website and fill the form by paying Rs 1000/- as application fee online.

The curriculum of the program is according to national and international industry standards and norms. The college also has international collaborations which give us international exposure through a student exchange program. The curriculum is divided into 4 semesters. In the first 2 semesters, we learn about the basic concepts of management, accounts, accounting management, etc. In the last 2 semesters, we learn about the importance of finance and accounting in the industry, budget allotment standards, the impact of technology in finance, etc. the curriculum is well designed to develop managerial and leadership skills in students.

The internship is mandatory for every student after completing the first year of the program as the internship is part of the curriculum. The college placement committee is the one that guides us for internships that what type of companies are participating in and how can we select the companies for internship according to our domain. The stipend for the internship begins from Rs. 20000/- to Rs. 200000/-. Around 25+ companies participated in the summer internship program of the college.

The college placement records are tremendous and the college not only focuses on engineering students for placement but also focuses on management students also. The college provides one of the best placements for MBA students. The college placement cell is also very supportive and cooperative they help us and guide us throughout the placement process. The highest package for our MBA batch went up to 25 LPA and the average package was around 12 LPA which is pretty good. Bank of Baroda, Coal India Ltd, Microsoft, Google, etc visited the campus during the placement drive in the college.

The college provides scholarships to merit students. The college organises the fests like IGNUS, Nimble, Virasaat are quite popular events among the students. The college campus life is quite simple and fun. The college classrooms are big and equipped with modern seating arrangements. The college also provides a WiFi facility around the campus. The college also organises competitions like sports competitions between the different departments of the college, quiz competitions, photography competitions, etc. The college library is full of books and international journals.

The hostel is well maintained and the rooms are very big and spacious. The rooms are equipped with beds, study tables, almirahs and AC. The hostel management totally takes care of the students' hygiene. The wardens and the hostel staff is very cooperative and supportive. The mess food is tasty and healthy. There is a 24x7 LAN connection in the hostel rooms and a high-speed WiFi facility in the hostel. The hostel also has a lift for the convenience of students. The hostel is equipped with all kinds of basic and modern facilities and amenities for the comfort of students.

The faculty of the college are of PhD level with corporate experience which is very beneficial to us. The college faculty are masters in their respective subjects. The college always works as a motivation force and guides us to take part in extracurricular activities.
