IIT Tirupati Review

IIT Tirupati is the first among the 3rd generation IITs that was established in 2015. I was quite confused regarding the college regarding my M.Tech program. I have heard about College Dunia and I contacted them for a consultant I told my all the priorities regarding my placement requirement, program, about the budget and I wanted to be part of IIT. They suggested IIT Tirupati thanks a lot to College Cunia because of them I was able to be part of such a prestigious college and able to get a good placement. The candidate must clear the GATE exam and should have a minimum of 8.0 CGPA in B.Tech (7.5 for SC/ST) from a recognised institute.

The curriculum of the college is according to international standards. The curriculum gives students give an opportunity in the field of research and help them to understand their theoretical concepts by doing practical research work and conducting project works. As the college is new the faculty and student ratio is good.

The college provides you with internship opportunities. The internship is the part of the curriculum where students get an opportunity to understand the corporate world environment and give an insight into the professional world. The stipend ranges from Rs. 16000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/- depending on the company and tenure of the internship. If any student who is involved in any kind of research or project work can skip the internship but they have to submit the written assignment.

IITs are quite popular for their placement and IIT Tirupati is also not behind. The college truly carries the legacy forward. The college has a 100% placement record. Few students receive pre-placement offers during their internship. The college placement committee is very helpful they guide and help us throughout the placement tenure. The highest placement package for our batch was 28 LPA and the average package was 11 LPA. I also received the package of 15 LPA from TCS. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, MathWorks, TESCO, L&T, TCS, Toshiba, Cognizant, Jio, Fincare, Ashok Leyland, Genpact, Barclays, Qualcomm, Goldman Sachs, Starhome Mach, Honeywell etc visited our campus during the college placement drive.

The college offers scholarships for merit students. Scholarship for SC/ST/PD students is also available. The SC/St scholarship provides financial assistance and discount in mess charge. The college life of IIT Tirupati is good. Seniors and the administrative staff of the college are friendly. The college library is the home of many academic and non-academic books from around the world international journal are also available. The classrooms are big and spacious that are equipped with a projector screen, a computer and recording equipment to record the lecture. The college also has students clubs like actomaina, dance, sargam, artista, pfc, Aranya etc where students can become members of the club. Most of the student time is utilized in studies.

The hostel rooms are big and one room is shared by 3 students. the room is equipped with a bed, a study table for every student, and an almirah for every student. The mess food is tasty and healthy. The hostel warden and staff are professional and cooperative. The hostel remains clean and is well maintained. the hostel is equipped with all kinds of necessary facilities for students. The hostel also provides 24 hours high-speed WiFi facility.

As the college is a new member of the IIT family so, I was not expecting much from the faculty side but I was wrong. the college has not compromised with the quality of faculty. The faculty of the college are extremely expert in their field with adequate industrial exposure related to their stream. Most of the faculties are of PhD level and they have completed their research work from the renowned institute of India and abroad.
