Diploma in pharmacy

Eligibility of course is you must have done your 12th class in science stream and have secured 50% marks in boards. You can find the application form, fees, application dates on their main website. I didn't avail any reservation as I belong to the general category. The admission process is correct and up to the point as an entrance test followed by a personal interview.

I choose this course to get a license to open my own pharmacy retail shop. The faculty and student ratio is up to the mark like 30 teachers with 200-300 students. Faculty teachers are well qualified either PhD or master, working as assistant professors, their way of teaching is good as they teach through PPT presentations, smart classes, books and relevant research papers. The exams are held semester wise which is moderate to difficult, if anyone has studied thoroughly the whole semester, they can easily pass.

Mankind and Cipla were the companies for hiring the students as trainees under internships, we were given a stipend for the six months of our internship period. Projects were to manufacture and check quality control of medicines being produced.

From the 4th semester, students become eligible for the on campus placement. Pharma companies like Cipla, mankind, GSK have visited the university. The highest package offer was around 2.5 lakh per annum in GSK, and the average package was around 1.8 lakh per annum offered from pharma companies. Most of the students get placed from on campus placements like 70-90% of students get good job roles and offers. My plan was to open my own retail pharmacy shop after completing the degree.

Fees hike is generally 1000- 1200 per semester, the cost to study for whole two years must be around 2 lakhs. I didn't get any scholarships during my diploma but they are providing scholarships for students having reservations or those who have secured 90+ percentage in 12th boards. They don't provide any financial assistance but provide good job opportunities. Most of the students get placed with high ranked pharma companies. Like 70- 90% of students get placed through college.

Annual fests are conducted yearly wise, like a sports events, dance events, workshops and many more. The library is full of course books and you can issue the books according to your study need. The classroom is fully air conditioned, have smart class modules with good benches and chairs. There are numerous extracurricular activities like dance club, singing, sports complex, badminton complex in the university, you can go and play there. There are some social groups run by students for organizing the events in the university.
