Admission is based on the jee mains rank for the Btech course. Usually the rank varies from 1lakh to 2 lakh for admissyin this college. Reservations are available here including SC, ST and Kashmiri migrant. Just apply on the HSTES website and mark this college in your priority list to get online admission easily. If they don't call out you name in HSTES list, you can apply through on spot counselling by visiting the college itself. I chose CSE because I want to be a software engineer. This college has so far the best faculty as I have heard from other colleges. Teachers are much more towards the understanding part of the student rather than just teaching and leaving. Teachers focus on students as their own children. The sessional exams and final exams for each semester are perfectly timed and it was quite difficult to pass because I think the exams were made up of tricky questions.

Campus placements are good enough in this college. Last year the Electrical branch had the highest number of placements followed by the Computer Science branch. Placements usually happens in the 7th and 8th semester. And more than 50% of students gets placements from the campus itself. Last year the highest package went on to be 8lakhs and the least to be 3 lakhs.

The fees structure is 40000 for one year. Usually, it is around 24000 for an odd semester and 16000 for an even semester. The fees is quite affordable for anyone who wishes to be a software engineer. Other than that the college also offers different scholarships for students with reservations.

Life at the campus is quite peaceful. This college is located away from the city in an isolated place which makes it the best place for students who like to study in peace. Annual fests include freshers' parties and farewell parties. The library has mostly all the books a student needs to study from and that too in huge numbers

The hostel is probably the best place of this college. The quality of the mess food is above average but on the same page you get a hostel canteen which consists of many different types of meal, so you can eat from there as well. The registration process in the hostel is very easy, you just have to show your admission form and pay the hostel fees so they can alot you a room.
