Remarks

Our college is a good Option whether you are from Science, art's or Commerce and I did my B.Sc degree at MCASC. The college works with affiliation of SPPU and it is also NAAC accredited. The college is private but still it's fee structure is very decent so that students from all sections of financial condition can do their studies here. The B.Sc admission to our college was based on the Qualifying exam Merit.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I always wanted to work in the Science domain and that's why I opted for PCM after my 10th and decided to do my UG degree in B.Sc. The 3 year course takes students to a deeper level of knowledge then what they've learnt till their High school. The faculty team of our college has a number of Doctorate degree holders and almost all of them were well experienced. Some newly joined teachers were there but they were also Masters of their subjects.

Internships Opportunities

4

Students can search for work opportunities outside the college as per their convenience because not all candidates get Internships in the round organised by the institute. Some of my friends and I did the same and learnt a lot through that experience.

Placement Experience

4

Just like all other courses, students of B.Sc also get eligible for placements in final year and the college has a decent number of activities to prepare students for this. Our college has collaborations with some good Companies but the percentage of students placed wasn't that great. Although, I myself didn't want to opt for the round due to my plans of going for a Master's degree in Science discipline.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee of our college was neither high nor low as it stood on a mediocre Level. But I was very happy to pay because it was suitable for me. The total charges for the B.Sc were around INR 52,000 and we were said to pay in as per the semester payment asked by the institute.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college used to organise various Inter College competitions related to Sports, Art's and education and even participate in higher level events. The students who want to satisfy their reading buds can even go to the college library and explore the vast amount of content available. There is availability of Canteen, Auditorium and good Technical events too so that students get to have an equally good facility of all required disciplines.

Hostel Facilities

4

It solely depends on the students if he wants to apply for the hostel accommodation or explore the Life of being a PG living student. Moreover both of them have a lot to explore. But I did my B.Sc at MCASC in neither of these mode's but have plans to go abroad for a Master's which will let me experience this life. The annual expenses for students for accommodation was nearly INR 20-25 K.

Admission

Admission to all UG courses, whether BA, B.Sc,B.Com or the Honours courses were based upon the Merit prepared by the institute among all applicants. While for some PG courses the college checked the score in Entrance exams. The college also gives direct admission to 2nd year for candidates meeting the conditions.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 4th sem. Many companies visit and at least one person is hired by every company. Companies from UAE and international companies also make offers. Highest package was 9 lpa and average is 3.5-4 lpa. Only 5-10% students go for a job, others go for higher studies. I am too looking for a part time job with continuing higher studies. Overall the campus placement is good for students looking for a good job and pay. Most get hired as Assistant engineers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Microbiology is mainly lab based work but it also teaches you other worldly things , the reason behind me choosing Bsc microbiology to do from ruia is because , once i had a talk to an alumni of ruia in which she mentioned that microbiology from ruia is basucally equal of engineering from an IIT. In microbiology particularly i would say the difficulty level is a bit high but only if you don't pay attention to daily lecs and practicals
