Remarks
The eligibility criteria to pursue B.com (Hons) 3 years course, is to score atleast 60% in your 12th grade. You can fill up the application form and search for details from the website of the university only. During my admission process, I was interviewed by a panel of faculty memebers on the campus itself. Being the 12th pass out, i find that interview pretty easy and smooth.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because i was looking forward to pursuing something in the field of finance and ofcourse, b.com hons is a respectable course as a whole. The faculty at my colledge was imensely knowledgeable and talented. I liked there way of teaching and interacting with the class. The faculty was highly educated in terms of their degrees but lack communication skills. The education process was accuracte. Examinations held according to time and level of difficulty was a little high as there was a lot of competition and relative marking system which affected student cgpa.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the students found internships on their own as they did it from nearby place from their house. I did internship from BHEL and worked on a FINANCE PROJECT- Working capital of the company. Various roles were offered by campus internship oppotunites - Marketing, Finance, HR, Business Development and sales etc.
Placement Experience
We were a batch of 33 students and every student had different plans for themselves some went abroad, some stayed here for higher studies and some got placed from the campus and also through their outside sources. But overall, the placements for undergrads were not as good as placements for Master's students. For us many companies came such as decathlon who took 2 students, Axis Bank, kpmg.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure was just like any other private colledge and talking about scholarship opportunities, if you score more than 85% in 12th you get a scholarship of some percent.(fee reduction). One of my friend got an on-campus job with a very high package.
Campus Life
The life at campus is pretty amazing. There were many clubs and society to invest your time in and learn new talents and skills for example culinary club, performing arts club, etc. The library has a huge space with peace and a properly working system. As a whole, the experience of living in a residential campus was really amazing.
Hostel Facilities
I lived on a residential campus so I was provided with each and every facility such aqs laundry, washing machine at the hostel itself, 4 timing meal timings with a very good quality and variety of food. There was 2 mess with huge space, a canteen area and other food shops itself on the campus. The hostel warden was systematic and friendly.
Interview Experience
I was selected after a face-to-face interview with a panel of faculty members. At that time only interviews happened. But now the process has changed as I'm aware. Now there is Group discussions and written test of their own.
