Honest review by student

I am a person from a neet background and since i did not get admission to medical college so i checked for a good university for b.tech biotechnology in Rajasthan on google. when i checked i found that amity has fees less than other colleges with good infrastructure i filled the registration form available on the website within 2 days my form was accepted and i was informed about the entrance test i appeared in the entrance test which i found quite easy since i was a neet student. within that week i was informed from the university that i got selected then i visited the campus one of my faculty introduced me to the lab and a peon to the hostel and another facility. after that i submitted my fees and my seat was booked for 2020-24 batch. the college takes semester-wise fees for academic which is 90000 for 1st sem and increasing 5%every year and 60000 for a hostel. during the procedure, one person from the admission department was in constant touch with me on call.

I chose b tech biotechnology due to my interest in biotechnology and its scope in the future. In my university one batch consist of maximum 60 students but in my batch, only 24 students are there. all the faculty of biotechnology are well qualified with a p.hd degree from a good university such as IIT,iisc, nit, etc. there are 2 exams in one sem which are mid-semester of 15 marks end semester of 50 marks 30 marks of internal assessment and 5 marks for attendance here 75% attendance is compulsory for end semester exam. i don't find these exam paper hard since i study on a regular basis the paper here comes is of average difficulty level. Not too easy nor too hard.

Most of the students go to research labs for internships and few prefer to research and development part of the industry this year serum institute of India and all path labs Vadilal also came for an internship. the stipend varies from 7000 to 15000 and there are students who were provided no stipend also. since i am studying currently i can't tell about the project and its outcomes of it.

From 5 th semester onwards one is eligible for placements. Around 15 companies visited for biotechnology and microbiology students getting a placement varying from 3 lakh to 8 lakh. the total of 89% of students was placed last year during the 2020-21 session. my plan is to get a integrated ms PhD degree from abroad in the field of microbiology

Fees is 180000 for 1st year and increasing 5% every year 189000 and so on. Here on admission, the scholarship is given on the basis of percentage in 12th core subjects PCB/PCM scholarship starts for 75% and above marks having students. once you have taken admission and you don't have any scholarship you can avail of scholarship on the basis of merit cum means and merit basis. you can check more information about scholarships on the website. since i am currently studying so i don't get any job till now but i know about my seniors. most of my seniors choose master's rather than a job and those who opted for a job got a package starting from 3 lakh to 8 lakh. the campus also provides internships in the last semester.

Odessy is the annual fest of amity which is conducted in the month of march but due to covid i was unable to witness the alst year this year odessy event. Amity has a well furnished library in which i got all the books i required but if it is not avaiable then they make it available within few weeks.the classroom has strenth of 70 students chair and table which are fixed with a projecter and white and black board both.the campus has many dports facility such as cricket ,football,badminton, vollyball, shooting, Horse rinding etc.and it conducts a yearly sport event called sangthan which is conducted in month of november.it has groups/clubs for anchoring acting fashion photography technical and many more few of the clubs have their own websites.

The room has a table chair bed and almirah with capacity of 2 student in one room with wifi facility.the mess comitee is formed to decide the menu of food and the food is quite good there are many options available for food in amity campus.the fees is 60000 per year with no mess facilty included you have to pay on regular basis for mess facility.

There was a test conducted for the admission since i was from neet background it was easy because the test was of MCQ pattarn.and a interview was conducted in which i was asked how i got interested toward this feild and we discussed the the future perspective of the feild.
