My experience at VELS university was really great. I enrolled in the MBA program which was for 2 years. If you wish to get admission here then first you need to fill up the form which is on the official website. The admission to the MBA course depends on the VEE score. In any case, CAT/MAT/XAT-qualified candidates are excluded from VEE and are considered for direct affirmation. You also need to have a graduate degree in BTech/BE in any stream or BSc (Mathematics/Statistics)/BBA/BBM/BA (Economics)/Mathematics/BCom/BCA/BSc Computer Science with a minimum of 50%. In the end, your marks scored in VEE or any other common entrance exam are considered.

There are four semesters and in every semester you get to concentrate on various subjects. The program will provide you with an establishment in the essential disciplines of the executives, organization, and business while raising your consciousness of the nature, setting, and interaction of business ventures. The teachers are profoundly skillful and the sessions are upheld by bunch conversations, case investigation, paper introductions, researches, video thoughts, seminars, guest lectures, business strategy, and industry tests.

Internships are an important part of the course curriculum and at the end of your course, you are required to make a project based on that. So it’s your choice if you choose an internship from the campus or off the campus. There is an internship drive that takes place every year. Some companies like TATA, HDFC Bank, IBM, TCS, Wipro, and many more visit our campus. I got an internship at TCS for 3 months and it was a paid one.

After you complete your 3rd semester you get the chance for placement. Almost all the students get placed. My seniors were all placed at good companies. Top recruiters are TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, IFB, HCL, IBM, Shopper Stop, Nestle, and others. I got an offer from Shopper stop and they paid me a good salary. The most noteworthy bundle in our cluster was 7 LPA while the normal bundle offered was 5 LPA.

Vels conducts V-SAT, a grant confirmation test to offer 100% scholarship, and up to 75% grant has been proposed to members dependent on their meritorious performance in the Vels scholarship admission test.

Technical events, yearly fests, sports meet, and different events are essential for our college life. We get to meet a lot of new people and our college has a diverse community. We also get the chance to run different clubs which amounts to our skill. Great infrastructure with whiteboard innovation, Wi-Fi is accessible, a library with so many books, a huge auditorium, sports facilities are provided by our college. We also have an exchange program and we get the opportunity to go to Singapore.

Vels has a great hostel facility. They have separate hostels for boys and girls with full security. CCTV cameras are installed and so it is safe. The hostels are clean and neat. Also, it is quite affordable. I stayed near the university with my relatives so I never got the chance to stay at the hostel but I had friends who stayed at the hostel and were satisfied with all the facilities and the food too.
