RETAIL MANAGEMENT AT JAIPURIA INSTITUTE

This management college is accredited by NAAC and NBA and is also recognized by AIU. It is ranked 59th by NIRF 2021. The admission procedure is a 3 step process and to get admission, a valid CAT score is required. After the submission of application with all the necessary documents, I was shortlisted on the basis of merit and entrance marks. Following which i was called for the GD and PI session.Based on the cumulative score of all three stages, I finally managed to get admission here.

The curriculum of this college gives super specialization in the sector of our choice. The course structure includes 6 workshop courses, 16 core courses, and 15 elective papers to choose from. The first year consists of general papers while the second year is more specialized. The faculty is very good and are researchers and scholars from all over the country.The student faculty ratio is 1:11, which is quite healthy. Exams were conducted semester wise and also include internal assessments.

We were supposed to do a summer internship of 8 weeks after the end of the first semester and make a project report of it. A national summer internship contest called 'Praktikos' is held to give closure exposure of internship to the students. In the second semester itself, I got the opportunity to work with Flipkart as part of my summer internship. It was a lifetime experience.

This institute has a record of the best placements provided in India.A total of 375 and more recruiters visit the campus every year.During our time , the average package was 7.4 LPA and the highest was 19.18 LPA. Top recruiters were Adani, Amazon,Amul, Asian paints,silicon labs,ICICI bank, HCL, Dabur, PhonePe, TVS motors and many more. Except me and one of my friend opted out of the placement drive as we wanted to study further,rest all got placed in reputed companies all over the country.The institute has a different level of benchmark in its placement drive.

The total fee payable is a little high, so, they allow you to pay it in 6 instalments. In the first year, a scholarship is awarded on a first come first served basis. In the 2nd year, it is awarded on academic performance. The college has loan arrangements at low interest rates with certain banks like Axis Bank, State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda and Punjab National Bank. However, these loans can only be availed if you have a CAT score of 70% or above. I was lucky enough to avail myself of the benefit of this scheme and was given a loan amount of 4 lacs.

The campus life is full of happenings. The most anticipated events at Jaipuria Institute are cross-sectoral fest, national and international seminars, conferences, conclaves and presentations. These act as a great learning ground for peer exchange and industry collaborations. The library has a world class infrastructure ad consists of books from all departments and it also has a collection of e-books journals and magazines. The institute gives a lot of encouragement to physical fitness and organises both intra and inter colleges sports competitions from time to time.

The hostel fee is payable for the year along with 1st and 4th instalments. The hostel is well equipped and provides all the basic amenities required by students. The mess food quality id also considerable good. The environment of the hostel is just perfect for studying. It provides rooms in both single and sharing capacity.

The interview level was a little tough and i was not really prepared for it,although i managed somehow.The interview bench was really experienced and the questions were very professional and needed a very good understanding of the industry.
