Remarks

The process should be more streamlined and they should not give preference to in house candidates as they are more deserving candidates coming in from outside. The entire process takes 3 days, in reality, it could be done in 1.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Exams were done as per schedule, college is strict when it comes to adhering to Pune University guidelines, overall functioning was normal. Exam difficulty was low and it was easy to get passing grades.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships aren't really given but they are encouraged by the college, students are told to hunt for internships with the companies that surround them as the college is located in the heart of Pune. Stipend ranges from 2.5 thousand to 10 thousand.

Placement Experience

2.5

90% of students get placed rest choose to opt out. The average package ranges from 2-3.5 lakhs. Generally, big companies like irctc, Godrej, icici etc come to campus with entry level job role offers which ensures growth potential.

Fees and Financial Aid

I personally got a scholarship from the Maharashtra government which reduced my fees due to 12th marks and based on whether any further assistance is needed college does give leverage in payment of fees if informed early.

Campus Life

3.5

The college has a big library which actually ensures all the up to date information and generally has the latest journals and newspapers. It is equipped with computers and wifi so students can research on the web and they can borrow books.

Interview Experience

3.5

The GD were simple topics, mostly abstract. Everything was conducted in a calm manner, there was no abrupt disruptions or stressful arguments. Process involved GD round and then PI, mainly focused on your communication skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
