Remarks

You can pursue this course bypassing the 12th over 45% in the science stream. I appeared in ojee exam published in newspapers. Now it is given on jee. You can appear in jee and you can be in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because it was new. Mechanical with management. The facility to students ratio is good. 1 teacher to 30 students. Teachers are highly qualified with Ph.D. degrees. The term exams are in 6 months with mid sem exams.

Internships Opportunities

Many more internships came to our college. From software and core companies. Accenture offered Pre-placement offers to 3 students. Tata stell offered a Pre-placement offer to 1 student. And many more that I nearly have forgotten.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for the campus in the 6th semester. Top Indian companies like Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Jindal, Tata Steel, and many more came for the campus. The highest package was 9 lakhs made by Tata Steel. 99% of students got placed. I had 3 jobs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Price generally does not hike much. An odd semester with 16000 and even semester with ten thousand only. Hostel fees were eleven thousand per semester. I got selected on campus with 3 job offers in hand.

Campus Life

Annual fest Samavesh happens in March month. Sports fest in October and November. Film fest in February and many more. One of the biggest libraries is there in Asia. Classrooms are hi-tech. There are many clubs run by students. Robotics and sai were my favorite.

Hostel Facilities

The room was old style but facilities are the latest. 3 beds for 3 students in a room. You must have heard food quality is poor in the hostel. But not here. 5 days of non veg food was given. Hostels are given on a rank basis.

Hostel Fee: INR 22000 per year

Placement Experience:

From the start of the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. The placement used to be so good and the graph was increasing exponentially. But for to recession, last year's placements were not good at all. There was almost 100% placement in CSE, IT and CE branches and 80% in ETC and EEE. But due to the recession, it dropped drastically. The highest package provided on campus is 39LPA by media.net, taking only one student. The average salary used to be 12LPA which dropped to 7LPA due to the recession. The condition of placement cells is not good currently and many students are in doubt regarding their placements. Many are opting for higher studies or trying off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is good. Even I am placed in a reputed core company. Majority of the students get placed. The remaining also prepares for higher studies through GATE and CAT. Being in the capital city, the advantage of access to reputed coaching institutes also makes the college favourable. Students are eligible to sit in the placements in the final year. Though some third-year students also get pre-placement offers after doing certain internships. Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Tata Advanced Systems, TCS (Digital and Ninja), Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, JK papers, Robert Bosch etc are some of the highlights.

Vssut, burla is a renowned government college. I have been always dream of studying in a good government engineering college. The faculties are very good and supportive in every aspect. The college is also well renowned. The good aspects are the administration is very good and the only bad aspect is the hostel food is not good... Except for this everything is good.
