Down the memory lane of my Graduation days

Admission criteria was on the basis of merit i e securing minimum 60percent in your class 12th examination plus your age should be 18 years. The admission process was on the basis of application form and interview. I qualified the interview and got selected for BBA course. BBA course is far much better than IP University's BBA course because in the curriculum of Birla Institute, programming languages such as C, C++, JAVA, Oracle, DBMS was taught per semester that also gave you the edge to be more technological aware and has become useful for me to work in fintech industries. The students who are my batchmates were from good family background and studying BBA course from this college was joyful with no stress as faculties were helpful and go an extra mile to solve your queries and doubts. The duration of classes per semester were of 5 hours covering every subject in all respects.

I wanted to make a career in financial management, hence I opted this course. I wanted to know how management runs in any organisation, how start-ups are launched and how finances are raised? that I learnt from this course. The student faculty ratio was good 2:10 where the faculty were academicians and industry experts who were of mid-age not very young freshers. The teaching method was through OHP slides, whiteboard, guest lectures, case studies, group discussions and industrial training. The exam terms were conducted twice per semester i.e mid-sem and final sem and getting marks was not so easy nor too difficult subject to your exam preparation. I used to study a lot so I got good marks and passed the BBA course in first class with distinction. I also got an excellent grade in my JAVA programming practical exam.

For internship, students have to undergo industrial training for 2 months in the months of May and June as per the consent letter issued by the company recruiter. Some companies also offer stipends, I got Rs 7000 in my first internship with C&S Electric. My topic was Working capital management where I crafted a profit and loss statement and made an industrial balance sheet plus a Credit statement report and understood all the functioning patterns of a manufacturing organization. With Ratio analysis that I analyzed helped the company to understand the deviation and take steps to correct those deviations of achieving more profitability.

When you come in the final semester, 3rd year(6th semester), class teacher starts preparing for their student's campus placements. You will be groomed by external faculties who are industry experts and train you with writing skills, problem solving skills, GD and PI. Indian Oil, GAIL, HCL, etc vista the campus regularly for hiring students at min package of Rs 2.5 lakhs per annum to max Rs 5 lakhs per annum for graduates. The students getting selected are approximately 80 percentage subject to their preparation.Some choose to get employed by their own and start their own business.

The fee hike was not there till the time I passed out. Cost of study was quite expensive for those who couldn't afford and it was affordable to many students as they were from good family background. The financial assistance through bank loans are also provided by the college for those who want to avail of. They do provide you campus placement and internship and for getting placed you need to secure good marks and qualify GD, PI and written test. They also extend help for those who don't make it to first round of getting placed with other companies.

Amenities in the classroom were quite good with projectors, computer labs, libraries with the latest books, and flexibility to study at the library at any time of the college timings. The annual fest is conducted each year in December and indoor sports competitions are conducted. For outdoor sports students of Noida has to participate at Mesra campus due to restrictions in garden space. There are different social groups run by students such as volunteering, organizing fests, workshops, and industry experts' guest lectures.
