Remarks

The admission process is online as well as offline. I don't face any difficulty in getting admission on the basis of my marks or age. The semester fee can be given in installments. For admission needs to submit some documents like address proof, 12th marksheet, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

faculty members are too good in nature and helpful to students at every point in time. faculy are very qualified and knowledgable. Their teaching quality is very good in offline lectures as well as online lectures. I choose this course because of my interest in interior designing, creativity, crafts, and many more. The exam is conducted as per semester ends both the internals and externals. 75% attendance is required for eligibility in exams. the difficulty of the examination depends upon the student.

Internships Opportunities

The companies which offer jobs will provide internships for 1-6 months, They provide roles according to the portfolio, hardwork, and interest, stipend can be paid accordingly, my plan after completing my course is to work for 1-2 years with the good company to get more experience. I will do advance study in landscaping side by side because I am most intrested in landscaping design

Placement Experience

Placements are available in companies like HACKERS, HULSTA, ARTFORM INDIA, FILO DESIGNS, ETC. students are eligible in the last semester for campus placement. 80-85% of students get placed under different placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee in the college is expensive around 75000 per semester, the fees hike every year which is not good for college as well as students. I don't know about the scholorships but placement for students are available in the last year, students are informed about internships on the college groups

Campus Life

honestly, the campus is my second home. wifi is available all the time. The library has all books required for studies and students can buy books from the library. The classroom is fully digitalized. there are no sports available.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are overall 7 subjects in my course. The core subjects are Basic pattern making, fibre and yarn science, sewing techniques and basic design concept. There's no problem in any of them, all of the subjects are great. The extra subjects are English communication, environmental studies and computer applications. If I could say I have any problem with any of these subjects, I'd say it would be computer application because there are no computers in the college for us to practice on.

Life & Times as a student @ JD!

Placement Experience:

In a one year Diploma course, students are eligible towards the end of the final semester. After all modules are nearly completed and submitted. I was offered an internship with a US based entreprenual start up company. This came via JD Institute. I recieved a monthly stipend of 5000/- INR iniitially. This project is still on even as i submit this review.Nearly all students who are actively interested in internships are provided adequate assistance and opportunities by the Institute. Regularly "Job Opportunities" were posted with numbers, providing all details/ options of what one can apply for and expect to do. Some of these are very interesting and promise a lot of exposure if one can undertake these. Many well known brands require fresh talent, and they are more than willing to give opportunities to freshers. My plans are to do internship with a well known fashion designer so as to get groomed in managing my own enterprise in the future.

My college is very good. Good study and better atmosphere. Good teachers. They are very supportive also. Good supporting management. And we lucky to have a good study atmosphere and play ground and also have the physical equipments. Iam so happy.

I applied for BBA and hospitality management in various public and private colleges like DU, Symbiosis, Narsee Monjee. But Design being the core interest JD Institute of fashion technology seemed a perfect choice. Moreover, the demand for designers in the upcoming years is likely to reach heights. In JD Institute, first we have to apply for the desired course. Then there is an entrance creativity test, in which young Designers have to design a product practically. The product is not of proper size but a replica. For fashion students, they have to design clothes as an entrance criteria. The students then get shortlisted for further discussions.
