Remarks
Admission is totally on a merit basis. The merit of BA goes the lowest here. During my year of admission, I got admission in the 6th or 7th list where I was in the last on the merit list. I filled through General Category. Once selected, you only have to go through the admission process of filling forms and submitting fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose English Literature, Economics, and Geography as my three subjects and dropped Economics in my third year (it is mandatory to drop one subject in the final year). I chose English because it was scoring and chose Economics because I was good at it. Geography was my choice because I ought to choose it as optional in the UPSC exam ahead. Here the faculty: student ratio is 1:15 in graduation courses Professors are well qualified and experienced. You may find some exceptions, and it's possible some of them use traditional teaching methods. But in every department, there is at least one Professor who will make you want to stay in college and attend his/her lectures. There are yearly exams conducted by the CSJMU Kanpur, which are not delayed without any important reason and the exams are of good standards, and you will score as long as you know the art of writing a detailed answer. CBSE background students may find it difficult to score because they used to write the limited answers.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are very low concerning the course is totally public and government-sponsored. UP Dashmottar Scholarship is available to reimburse all of your college fees. There is a placement cell, which can get you minimal paying jobs, and that too occasionally when there is availability. Apart from that, there is a fair every year in which start-up companies come to offer you executive-level jobs that too are minimal paying.
Campus Life
Annual Fest is held every year. There is one library, a digital library, and one reading room. College lacks infrastructure, so low standards of amenities are available. Sports Fest is held every year and various competitions are held from time to time all year round. NSS and NCC facility is available for you to join and get a certificate, which will help you gain an advantage in getting goverment jobs.
