Remarks

DEVAMATHA COLLEGE is one of the best Colleges in Mahatma Gandhi University.The education they provide is of high standards.The admission process is through merit allotment process through a centralised allotment process of MG University.The teachers are highly qualified and has several patents and papers.The best thing is the guidance they provide.Also sports items such as Netball,Rollball is promoted here.Yoga is also a main field here.The negative aspects are there isn't much scope for Arts and entertainment programmes.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Course curriculum follows the syllabus by MG University.As I was interested in Physics I chose Bsc Physics and the teachers are well qualified with PhD.The lab facilities are too good.Also digital teaching methods are preferred.The exams are conducted Semester wise and difficulty level is intermediate.

Placement Experience

The main company offering campus placement is South Indian Bank.About 24 students got placed there in this year.Apart from this Various IT companies recruit which are not directly linked with the college.Students can apply for various recruitments during their final year.Placement Cell is excellent and provide a perfect assistance for the students.The average salary offer is about 20k.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are a lot of scholarships available.For OBC students and economically weak students e-grant scholarship is available.Also Central and State scholarships are available.The campus placement is conducted in collaboration with South Indian Bank.24 students including me got placed in SIB

Campus Life

Annual fests are usually conducted.There are celebrations for local festivals such as Onam and Christmas etc.Arts festival is conducted every year with much passion and each department compete each other for the title.So many other festivals happen in between which gives much recreation.Various clubs are present and conduct many programs.Thr Library is so large with many books and is now digitalized.The ambient atmosphere provides a better scope for learning.

Admission

No there wasn't any GD or interview.The admission process is purely merit based.Marks obtained in HIGHER SECONDARY level is considered for centralised allotment and colleges are alloted per our choice and availability

MY CAMPUS LIFE

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum of KTU (Kerala Techinical university) is very tough ,outdated system,teaching method is very wrong, old method are using here, semester time period is short, student can't catch their subject on this time period, 6 subject with 12 module or more complete in 2.5 months after this immediatly exam starts,so need more time interval for learning and add more partical based activities in curriculum, theriocal subject is more compare to partical,student are just by heart some portion and attenting exam, so they don't know partical working of machines

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are many aspects of the curriculum that infulenced my decision to choose BA English Literature in St. Berchmans College. Their syllabus is far more challenging and interesting than what other colleges and universities offer in Kerala. The examinations and overall assessment of projects and grades are top-tier and is comparatively difficult to obtain. The course steadily provides good quality information and knowledge on English Litearture and readies the student to be more than qualified for further studies in English Literature or any related courses. The areas where they can improve in the course curriculum is through availing more optional courses such as various other language courses/philosophy related courses to be selected. Their teaching environment can also be improved by improving basic infrastructure in the classrooms such as airflow etc. They conduct their exams freequently and on time. The examinations are challenging but necessary for overall improvement in students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because it is rare and it have high potential in national as well international level. But in this college they don't have enough facilities to teach so it won't prepare a student for real-world application. They should include seperate good lab facilities for environmental studies,need permanent teachers and placement activities should be provided. Exams are semester wise and they are easy and easily prepared within short period of time
