Remarks

I prefer this University because this is State University of Punjab and I want to make my Future in Indian Army so that i want to join NCC also as in this college NCC Army Wing is there and the reputation of this college is very good as Industry point of view.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Faculty: The teachers here are very good and very well qualified, but their behavior depends more on students. As many students get placed in reputed companies, so this college makes students industry-ready. The infrastructure of the college supports the environment which students will face in their upcoming industrial venture.

Placement Experience

4

The placement offered at my college was awesome this year. Many of the students got placed in more than one companies with good packages. As per my knowledge, 100% of the students got placed. On the first day, more than 60% of the students got placed. Many companies also offered training to the students of 3rd year for free. The highest package offered is 7 lakhs per annum, and lowest was around 3 lakhs per annum. Name of the companies that visited my college was Himachal Pradesh, Dell, Tata, Mahindra, many civil companies and mechanical companies like Mahindra and Mahindra, Sonalika Tractors, Swaraj and many more. But I don't remember their name. The students were offered in R&D department, field officers and many high posts and average posts. Around 40% of the students got an internship from the companies that visit the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our College provide 100% Scholarship for meritorious student and this scholarship will be given in all four years but students have to maintain their CGPA above 7 without any backlogs. The placement offered at my college was awesome this year. Many of the students got placed in more than one companies with good packages. As per my knowledge, 100% of the students got placed. On the first day, more than 60% of the students got placed. Campus Life

5

Infrastructure: The entire campus and also hostels on the campus are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi. Each department has its own library. There is a separate library building and computer center with excellent internet speed. For students who are interested in sports, the college is excellent as it has one big ground, many small grounds and an Olympic size swimming pool. The college has a small hospital with decent medical facilities and a market type area inside the campus. There are many canteens. Some new hostels are very good, but students should not choose old hostels as they are not much good. The food in the hostel mess is based on students choice as the mess runs on a cooperative basis. Events like ISTE, SECA, etc. are conducted here. The best thing in college is its campus surroundings, which are lush green. The college has invested more money in the plantation than studies. There are one or two events like SECA (Society of Extra-Curricular Activities), ISTE ( Indian Society For Technical Education) organized by the college once a year. Our college have fully digital Library with more than thousands of books.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel campus has spacious rooms accommodating 3 persons for the first 2 years, and then in the 3rd year, students get accommodated to single person rooms while everyone gets single room facility in their 4th year. The facilities include bed, table and an almirah. The hostel facility is very much affordable as compared to renting a room or PG. The hostel costs comes about to 5,000-6,000 per semester, so 12,000 approx. for a whole year (exclusive of food). Whereas, the PG costs around 8,000 per month, 96,000 per year (inclusive of food) (also depends whether you take an A.C. room or a non-A.C room, or seater's). The hostel food is really good. While moving in I was afraid, but after having the meal, I heaved a sign of relief. The food really makes you feel at home whereas the PG food is not so good. The meal quality is also good and the menu is made according to which the food is served so no repetitions.

Admission

The Admission in this college will be based on your 12th Percentage and JEE Mains Rank. If you want to take an admission in this college go with it. Students can also choose courses like B.Arch and B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and ECE. If you are good at studies, then there is a high chance that you will get a scholarship easily.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free. She was laughing at such a test. She said no one does that anymore, they just type then run spell check. Technology is changing our NEEDS opinion is that curriculum should reflect our reality. No one gets paid to solve problems that have already been solved. Students should be exposed to solving problems they have not seen before but that can be solve with the content they have learned in class. This will help them develop problem solving strategies they will be able to use the rest of their lives
