Remarks
i have not applied for any other colleges other than govt women engineering college Ajmer. the admission process is through REAP. there is no quota but there are two types of seats available for admission. SFS and TFWS .first one is the general seat while the second is tuition fees wavier seat. in order to avail of this, you have to submit your family income certificate, and annual income should be less than 8 lakhs, then only you can avail TFWS. there are very few seats in every department under TFWS. the admission process is very simple, you have to apply for REAP counseling, then fill colleges of your choice in Rajasthan and add branches according to your preferences. once seat allowed, you have to go for document verification.
Course Curriculum Overview
The main reason for choosing mechanical was to explore a very uncommon branch as girls dont prefer this. the faculty-student ratio of other branches is decent but for mechanical it was quite less. generally, faculties are gate qualified other than guest faculties. teaching methodology needs to improve here. more focus is on theories rather than practicals and the course never completes before semester exams. you have to manage this all on your own. exams are conducted according to the RTU timetable and majorly questions get repeated every year. in order to score well, one can prefer the NK book.
Internships Opportunities
There is no internships oppurtunity provided by the companies. generally you have to search it on your own . also the fees of internship gets reimbursed in some cases. you have to do atleast two projects , minor project and major project before passing out.
Placement Experience
from 7th sem onwards you are eligible for campus placements. the placements have very lot scope of for improvements. the CSE branch gets maximum placements ,very few offers in other branches. the highest package for 2020 was 12 LPA while for 2021 was 14 lpa, both in cse . there is no proper details of average placements. placements percentage must be around 50%. the plan after degree is to prepare for GATE
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are reasonable as compared to other private colleges.Generally there is very less hike in fees or no hike. there are various scholarships available, one can check these on the college brochure. financial assistance is also there on basis of annual family income. jobs provided on campus is somewhat less
Campus Life
The annual cultural fest is EPISTEMICO, generally conducted in march. technical fest VALIENT is conducted in Feb. there is sports fest TAKSH, which is conducted in between Feb and March. the library is the best part of college. there are enough books for every domain. also one need not purchase course books as every student can avail books from book bank and have to submit the same again after sem ends. the classrooms are getting smart now, normal boards have been replaced by smartboards. there are very much extracurricular activities on the campus. there are various clubs like cultural, technical, sports, literary, etc. one can get into any one of its interest.
