Remarks
The admission process for me was fairly simple. I did my admission through DTE online cap method. firstly you have to get a form from any arc/FC centre. The form costs 400rs and it contains the id and password for login in online dte website. There you have to fill in your 10th data and also documents. Then you have to choose which college you want. you can fill in as many colleges as you want to. Then there will be a CAP round 1 where according to your merit list data you will place into the college. I got this college in second preference as my first was VJTI which I was short of just 3 percent. Then you have to lock in the college through the website, After that just go to the college and complete the admission form they provide and pay the full fees. minimum marks are 40 percent and age is 16. We were provided with admission counselling a week later and it was pretty good in explaining what we have to do further. Overall the admission process was smooth and did not face any issues.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this curriculum because I loved the fundamentals of mechanical engineering. I really enjoyed the subjects that were involved in this course. The faculty in Agnel polytechnic are very experienced in teaching. There is about 20 student to one faculty ratios and they really helped us in our engineering studies. Most of the teachers are M-tech with 20+ years of teaching experience. While the majority are helpful and supportive there are one or two who are really not that supportive and I do not recommend them. Most of them use projectors to teach and also make good use of technology such as microphone speakers to improve teaching quality. The exams are held at pretty good time intervals. Just as with the school Formative assessment timings so catching up was not an issue. Since the faculty was great, the subjects were passed relatively easily and we had no problems in our time. Every 2 months there would be a 20 marks unit test followed by a semester exam. Pretty good experience
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Fees were pretty okay in my experience, The cost to learning ratio was okay. There are scholarship programs for those who had low income and are also much cheaper for other castes than open. We had an average 3 year fee of 83k INR. A financial loan was also available for the unfortunate. As I opted for higher studies I don't know the job placements that much. We were provided internships and also Industrial visits which were free and pretty good. Very good in this regard.
Campus Life
There are about two fests each year and they are amazing. A variety of games are played such as treasure hunt, video gaming, tug of war, spellathon etc. They are conducted usually at the start of each year and towards autumn. The library is pretty good and has all the books an engineer could ever want. Did not have any problem with the library. You could take home books for a week for free and if you take the pass you can take for 3 months also. The classroom is pretty average IMHO, The benches are okay and we have a huge blackboard with a projector attached to it, fans and lights are installed too. Sports activities are not too much here, There is a huge garden for football and also a basketball court provided. Gaming sessions are also held by our seniors which included pubg, csgo etc. As of my knowledge, I don't remember any social groups or clubs. All in all pretty lively college.
