Remarks
The college management are hands on. They make sure they are with the students at every step and issue. Only thing is anything outside the campus, they don't take responsibility, since it will causes issues. But regarding their students, they will be there at all times to help. I had an issue with my hall ticket once, and they helped me get a new one in the same day.
Entrance Preview
I just wrote MAT and KMAT. I wanted to go abroad for higher studies, but due to certain restrictions I opted for ABBS and also because of distance. I scored 705 in MAT.
Course Curriculum Overview
Very intense. The course work keeps us occupied all the time. It is a continuous assessment process that helps us stay on our toes. Starting from the first year itself it is hard, whereas I was expecting it to be easy first. Not easy if you are not prepared. But at the same time it a fun experience if you like management.
Internships Opportunities
Yes internships are provided, but not all of them will get the opportunity. I think only the good students will have higher chance of interning. Stipend depends actually, it can vary from Rs.7,500 to 20,000. If you are willing to work, it will be a great learning experience.
Placement Experience
Placements are good. When I graduated, for me it was smooth since I prepared well in advance, and attended pre-placement activities. But some of my friends it was a struggle who didn't get the jobs they wanted, but got got placed. Now, I have heard more companies are coming to the campus for placements which I wish I had.
College Events
Bizomania is definitely an event I liked. It was a time of relaxation and fun. I would hang out with my friends the most during this time and meet new people as well. I participated in a paper writing competition and won second place. We also have annual sports day which is fun and not exhaustive. Best was 5k run, which was a charity event to raise awareness for taking up green initiatives.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I think the fees is not less, but again you are paying for quality education. I paid around 7.2L for my course. Based on my research the good management schools charge from 7 to 12L. So, I had options of going elsewhere, but I think it is value for money at ABBS.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes there are many scholarships at the college. I came through merit scholarship. The numbers are limited, since I scored 83% in my UG, i was able to avail it. I think they have different scholarships under presidents scholarships.
Campus Life
Campus life is very calm, and great to unwind since the campus is very big. Labs are great, for management we had 2 labs. It helped us with GD, and Moc investments etc. Sports I wish there were more, I used to play badminton when i was there. I heard they are creating a new sports arena for students, so I hope they do it as many like to play.
Hostel Facilities
I haven't taken hostel facility since I stay close by and didn't find the necessity. Don't know about food as well. I would eat out mostly or at the canteen which is very nice. But if students are interested, esp from outside they should check the website.
Alumni/Alumna
Since mine was the first batch, i don't know who did PGDM Global. But had the chance to meet up with some students from MBA and we were networking doing the alumni meet this year. It was great to talk to such people and get nuts on career planning.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is alright, usually we have continuous exams during exams. I wouldn't say it was chilled out since we had to prepare before itself. So, it would be hard if you don't prepare, which i faced in my first sem exams. Labs are relaxed but we get more assignments
Faculty
Faculty of the college are very friendly and basically it is a mix of experience and younger faculty from industry, The blend is ideal for us. When I was around, I really liked the classes taken by Mani sir and Vishwanathan sir. They were highly experienced in their areas, i.e. marketing and strategic management.
