Overall Review

I haven't applied to any colleges other than IPE. The admission process was smooth - 1st round was GD - the group consisting of 15 applicants and 2 faculty members were presented to evaluate. 2nd round was PI - 2 faculty members were on the panel.

I have completed PGDM in Banking, Insurance and Financial Services. The reason behind opting for BIF specialization was my areas of interest in Banking and Financial Markets. The faculty members holds PHD with many years of experience in teaching and research. The examination pattern goes with 3 trimester's per year, the college offers dual specialization. During the second year, students opt for specialization and subjects.

Many companies visit campus to recruit Intern's, few offer stipends and few don't. Learnings depend on the work got assigned during the internship. All the students are required to submit the project report on the learnings during the internship to the mentor (faculty member).

After the 3rd trimester (completion of 1st year), in the second year which is the 4th trimester, the companies will start visiting campus for recruitment. Not sure about the number and offers, but maximum all will be placed. The highest Package was a CTC of Rs. 20 Lakh offered by Amazon during my college time. The minimum was a CTC of 3.5 Lakhs, in my opinion, the average can't be quantified as depends on the specialization.

The cost of the academic fee for both years was Rs.8,00,000 during my PGDM period (2018-2020). Yes, there were/are scholarship's awarded based on the scores of entrance exams (MAT, CAT, ATMA, CMAT). Internships and Placements were/are good, an ample number of companies visit campus.

Social life looks great, the campus is very big and environment friendly. Many number of clubs are there includes Cultural, Social, Alumni, Literature, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Hr, so on. IPE hosts national level events named SANSKRITI (Managerial cum Cultural Fest), STARTUPEDIA (Pitching Start-up Ideas), Sports meet (both internal and external) annually. Classrooms are too good with inbuilt projector and air conditioners, so on. Infrstructure is the best.

Most of the GD topics will be picked from current happenings in India and the world. The best one to note here is, the opportunity will be given to everyone at the end. If someone fails to speak/express during the time limit, after the discussion the person have a chance to express views. Interview questions are more on background, joining PGDM and IPE.
