Remarks
Vesco has a system wherein 30% of seats are provided through CAP rounds and the rest are given through an offline merit system on the basis of our CET marks after we fill out their forms. There was no quota for me as I was alloted a seat offline through the above-mentioned point. The counseling day went smoothly. I filled their form which cost about 500rupees. I got a call from their end saying I've been allotted the seat so I can come to the campus and secure my admission by paying the fees. I went to college the other day, paid the required amount and then I was again asked to fill a form that had NOC attached to it. I was asked to start attending the lectures the same day or from the next day at my convenience. The other day I received a fee receipt for my payment and was guided to take up the railway concession if I travel via train and was guided about the whole college's working and which floor had what all laboratories, seminar hall, locker room, library, etc. Overall it was great!
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course because of my interest in science (chemistry/biology) and since I found it a better option after the medical field. About the faculty-student ratio we were provided with 2 teachers for a division of 50/56 students per subject; we have divisions with the same bifurcation. The faculty at the college are highly educated and knowledgeable, many of them hold PhD degrees in their respective subjects and the others have done masters in their respective subjects. About the exam pattern, when we entered college the pattern was changed from CBCS to PCI. In this, we'd have 2 MSE that is mid-semester exams (sessionals) for both theory and practicals 30m and 20m respectively for each subject at a gap of one month which covered half portion of the entire one. After sessionals, we'd have ESE ie the end semester exam, 75marks paper for each subject. The practicals would be of 50 marks. Overall the marks of all these exams were converted into aggregate as CGPA. It is difficult to pass exams
Internships Opportunities
So far I've heard colleges come up with compulsory internshipss during the third year of the course. Seniors had got internships in companies like Merck. Though I'm not sure what is the scenario during the worldwide pandemic. The batch ahead of me didn't really get good internship opportunities unlike the previous one's so I really don't know what it'd be like for my batch.
Placement Experience
For bpharm. Package of 3-4lacs highest or 1-2lacs lowest is available through placement which is performance-based. 70-80% of students that apply get through the placements. I don't have any plans as of now, I'm still in the process of understanding my field of interest here.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees on yearly basis were 1,73,000 for me in the first year. Fees include all the expenses like library fees, laboratory usage fees, infrastructure, maintenance fees, classroom course fees etc. In the second year the fees we lowered by 5,000 making it approx 1,67,000. For the third year, the fees remained the same as the second year. If at all needed we're given the option of paying the fees in installments but if not then the student is asked to pay the whole course fees. I received a private scholarship which was a collaboration between Vidyasarthi and Transunion civil. It'd give an amount of rupees 40,000 per student after clearing the criteria required for the same. Criteria involved points like income should be less than 6,00,000. Marks obtained should be more than 65%. There shouldn't be any KT and attendance should be good. I received this scholarship in my first and second year it was transferred to my account after an interview wherein they checked all my document proof and asked ques
