Second year student's review

I applied for various colleges like ABES, KIET but did not attend due to high fees. I availed OBC quota for admission. For admission candidates must clear the AKTU entrance examination also known as UPSEE. The minimum requirement of marks is 150. Candidates who secure above 150 out of 600 in UPSEE are eligible for counseling. Counseling is done on the basis of rank obtained by candidates. The Admission process was quite simple, candidates have Rs-20000/- for confirming their seat. On the day of counseling candidates have to bring an allotment letter along with the other documents to their respective colleges and have to submit the first installment of fees.

I chose BTech in INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY because of my prior interest in computer technology. The faculty-student ratio is quite good, there is never a lack of faculty in the college. Each faculty is highly qualified and experienced in their field, their teaching method is very effective. Exams are held regularly, in each subject almost after every unit there is a surprise test. Mid-term and pre-end semester exams are also taken by the college. The difficulty level of these exams are much higher than end-semester exams.

I am a second-year student so I am unable to tell much about internship programs, but as I heard Companies like TCS, TATA, cognizant offer internship programs in our college that help students in their placement.

From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Adobe, Amazon have offered jobs on the campus. The highest average package is around 5 to 6 LPA. Almost 70-80% of students get placement. I plan is to enroll in MTech after my degree.

The College takes the fees in various installments, students are also given a discount if they submit complete one-year fees. The overall cost of course is about Rs-455000/-. College also provides financial assistance and scholarship opportunities to rank holders. Placements in college are excellent.

Ramswaroop has quite a good social life. About the infrastructure, it has different blocks in which different labs are there. About the fest, it has many cultural fests like abhivyakti, anubhuti fest, sports fest held after some period of time. The library is good. It provides all the necessary books for students.
