DIYA NAYAK
Karim City College - [KCC], B.Com {Hons.}, Accounting And Finance
Reviewed on Aug 7, 2021(Enrolled 2019)

Remarks

The admission process was very simple as it has been done through marks obtained in the Intermediate rather you have scored in science or commerce. Only thing is that for accounts honors you have to take maths or accounts as a compulsory subject in 12th because while admission the basic criteria for Hons. is to score 45 or 45+ in maths or accounts. The whole admission process is offline as you have to purchase a form and prospectus and submit to the counter with a Demand Draft of around 7500. After submitting the form you have to register yourself on the University website i.e Kolhan University and then now you are a student of the Karim City College.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I selected this course as I want to do a C.A. after completion of my graduation. There are quite good faculty members in the college as there were two teachers for each subject which help for completing the course in time. But when you compare the student & teacher ratio you will find that teachers are very low in numbers compared to students. But the curriculum is very good when you seriously study the contents you'll find that it matches the curriculum of D.U.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is high compared to the other colleges under Kolhan University, but very much low as compared to the colleges of other universities. There is no such problem with that because Karimcity teaches their students rather than other colleges only take attendance and have no worry about teaching students.

Campus Life

1

Campus life needs to be improved, as there are no restrictions on roaming in corridors and availability of books is there but the books are of courses which are offered no books of publication or genre. And most importantly no sports and curricular activities, you have to be a puppet of the sporting staff for selection in the college team. Events happen every month but not on a big scale.

Remarks:

This college is near to my home and have good reputation in commerce. Its a renowned college for commerce. The fees is also very less here. The maximum fees here is 2000 yearly. There is no need for entrance exam here if you want to join UG or PG. But you have to give entrance for vocational courses. For entrance you should have just scored 60-70% in your previous board exam. This is the most driving factor to take admission here.
