MY EXPERIENCE AT IBS MUMBAI

First I gave the IBSAT exam which was held in the month of December and on qualifying for the exam I was allocated a counselor who manages all the documentation and helped me get into the college. In the month of February GD and PI rounds took place in IBS-Hyderabad. The minimum age to apply for the process is 20 years and no upper age limit.

I want to pursue a carrier in finance and IBS provides good placements so I joined this program. The faculties are very qualified and they use innovative methods to teach which helps in the overall growth of the students. The student-to-teacher ratio is 1:20 and the exam are conducted at regular intervals and the focus is not only on subjective but also on interpersonal skills . These exams consist of the viva, Presentation written test, and class participation.

The internship is compulsory for every student and its starts from the month of March and ends by end of May. Companies like EY, Amul, ACC, IIFL, HDFC Life, etc come to our campus for job roles like digital marketing, marketing. event management, sales tec and most of them provides a stipend. We work on a SIP project throughout the internship and these projects are evaluated and examined by the faculty.

The placements start from mid 3rd semester and companies started coming in the month of August only and around 95% of students got placed every year. Companies like HUl , HDFC, ITC, JPMC visit our college and the average package provided by them is of Rs 6.7 lakh last year and the highest was 17 lakh.

IBS has a very flexible fee structure in which we have to pay 5 equal installments in a gap of 3 months each and the total fee of the course is 810000 lakh which generally increases at intervals of 2 years. Ibs recently started giving merit scholarships to students on the basis of their performance in the semester exams.

The annual fest of IBS is Kounflux which is held in the month of January, it is an inter-college fest in which different b-schools participate in sports events, events in different domains, cultural programs, etc and the whole event is organized by the various clubs of IBS. Ibs has 21 clubs and I am part of Kautilya which is a finance club and we also have been active on various social media sites like on Instagram. The classrooms of IBS are huge with projectors, AC, and comfortable chairs, and also IBS has a central library in which holds a large number of books.

GD-PI round took place at the IBS-Hyderabad campus. First, we went through the orientation and then a gd of 15 min in a group of 10 students. The Gd topic was mostly business related the topic given to me was " Should students studied in India be allowed to work in a foreign country?" and the GD was followed by the PI which was taken by 2 members and they ask basic questions.
