Remarks

1st I'm applied for chemical engineering in SSN college through counselling but I didn't get a seat there and I'm applied in vel tech high tech and got a seat immediately and went for the allotted college and finished my allotment.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our chemical engineering department has a Nickname that a chemical family. As the name, all faculties are very friendly and will encourage us. Our faculties are ph.D and M.tech graduates and have more than 8 years of experience teaching and guide us in our studies. It was easy to pass the exam with our faculties guide

Class Size: 42Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our faculties are arranged internships for us in ruchi industry where we learned about edible production and a small scale industry where used oil is refined to biodiesel. I have done a project related to hydrogen gas and which was won a prize in every conference in outer colleges because of faculty guide.

Placement Experience

From 3rd year students are eligible for campus interview and faculties will start getting ready the students for campus interview with aptitude training in our campus by exam cell in our campus. 30,000-50000 salary packages were given by the company. 80 percent of students are placed in our college over various industries. I'm planned to go abroad for a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Government scholarship for general category and placement was good, a previous year my seniors were placed in a metal craft industry. The cost of the study is around 60000- 70000 per year and 5000 extra for NAAC accredited courses.

Campus Life

Our fest is great and enjoyable. The previous year chief guest is from the Tamil cinema industry was extremely amazing and enjoyed a lot. All books for all department are available in our library and was good in the discipline. Our college us numerous sports like football, volleyball, basketball, kho kho, handball etc.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel was good in infrastructure and faculties in the hostel are friendly and the meal was good and evening snacks were likely to have. Registration can be done on our campus. I'm rented a House in my 3rd year near the college where all facilities like transport, food and others are available easily.

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Placement Experience:

Placements starts from the 7th semester.companies Like tcs,wipro,zoho,infosys vist. The highest packages is 24lap,average 3lpa and around 85%of student get placed. I plan to start my career in IT and gain experience.

There are companies but the companies that were told that the good ones, they didn't come so much.. only a few companies that gave a package above 5 lakhs came in for my department.. the rest of them were either 4 lakh package or below it was not very good. even the 1 or 2 good companies that came tehy came for electrical.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Placement Experience:

So from 6-7th semester they offers placements before that we have placement training in campus.So highest package for 2024 was 45 to 50 lpa,good offer given by amazon and other company also.So the average package is 7.5 lpa and highest package was 50 lpa.so 925 application are accepted in last 2 monts .My plans to get job and then after 2 years may be for higher study or startups.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of each course is different and it is followed by the guidance of Anna university, we have several topics and it is under the regulation of 2021 respectively, I feel this easier to learn and there comes an opportunity to do what we learn in theory hour in our laboratory hour it will make more connected to our course, but there is lagging factor that is we are far away from the modern world and we need to put effort to compete with. The exams are not difficult and the frequency of the exam is quite manageable.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 3rd year for placements and also who don't have standing arrears ,if they have standing arrears the clg management will remove them from placements and also the Placements are very poor . The average package is 350000/year . And the maximum package is 15L Last year nearly 100 students out of 180 in cse dept are non-placed , they are forced to write higher studies letter and submit in college . Even though they won't help for any placement side.

I choose veltech because it near the borders of Andhra which is my residence so it would be Convenient to join here I have also applied for Sathyabama,rajalakshmi,RMK,and even panimalar college too.
