Remarks

Everything was excellent about my college the management gave us an excellent career and a memorable life.

Entrance Preview

CET and I choose E&C stream as Electronics is a field which always on demand. The admission process was very smooth. I was asked to report CET Cell at Malleswaram, Bangalore and it took less than a hour to complete the College selection process.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course i selected was Electronics and communication. The course structure was planned very nicely by VTU. It covered all the areas which comes under E&C. All the labs in my were very well equip with all the necessary equipment to support our course structure.

Internships Opportunities

Our college didn't provide any internship for our batch(2002-2006). If they have started anything now, i am not sure about that.

Placement Experience

4.5

We were 58 students in our class and 90% of the students were placed. The placement started from 6th semester itself and by the end of 7th semester most of the students were placed the companies which visited our campus are, "Infosys, IBM, Adobe, TCS, L&T, Capgemini, SAP, etc" and the offer was provided between 2.4 lac to 4.6 lac.

College Events

5

Freshers Party: This was the biggest party we organized for our freshers. The event was a great success. There was a gathering of almost 400+ members and it went on from morning till evening. Apart from this we also celebrated Cultural festival. This event is organized by both Management and students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

If i compare with today's fee structure then it was definitely feasible. However, it was very expensive at that time. I paid approx. 45K per/year. This includes only semester fees this does't include hostel, food or any other expenses. It was worth paying 45k towards the education received by the teachers.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't go for any education loan as my father was capable of affording my education fees. So i have not inquired about the same.

Campus Life

5

In our batch Gender ratio was 60/40, where 60% boys and 40% girls. The life in engineering was awesome. We were given opportunity to participate in inter-college football match, which held in our campus itself. Apart from this we also participate in many other sports, which include basket ball, volley ball, running(100 mt., 200 mt.,..etc) and lot many. Our labs were well equipped with all the latest instruments.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

We had a very good hostel rooms, beds and wardrobes. They also provided individual chair and tables for each student. The food of the hostel was also very good. Complete discipline was maintained in the hostel. Due to this comfort life i continued to stay in the hostel for my first 4 semesters.

Alumni/Alumna

Our alumni network is very strong. We are well connected over social network(like, linkedin, facebook,..etc). We also help each other knowing about the available opening in our company and getting the job placement.

Exam Structure

The final exam structure was very well planned by VTU and even the internal were well planned by our college. There was ample amount of gap provided between each internals and between internals and externals. The lab exam were also planned well and enough time was provided to us for the preparation.

Admission

The admission process was very much planned and organized. I was notified over internet about the admission dates, time and venue. The admission process took place at CET cell at Malleswaram Bangalore. There were so many college buses available outside the CET cell from different colleges to provide free tour for their respective college. I took a tour to EWIT Bangalore and was very impressed with the infrastructure and faculty. Hence decided to take admission to EWIT.

Faculty

5

The Faculty of my college was excellent. They are very much knowledgeable in their respective areas and very well qualified. I feel lucky to have teachers like them in my life. They have always shown interest to teach individual member. Always used unique Technics to teach us.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
