Remarks
I had applied for PECE exam for JCECEB board In which I scored 88 and got rank 961 in Jharkhand. After that I was invited to take part in counselling process which was held in Ranchi (till 2018 counselling was held offline after that it is held online each year). In which I have to show my different documents to select college in which I want to take admission in , I selected Government Polytechnic Ranchi because it is the best Polytechnic institute in Jharkhand. I didn't availed any quota but there is reservation for different categories and also fee waiver to. The minimum age for admission is 15-16 years .
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I wanted to give my life to electrical engineering field as I am very interested in it. Faculties are also very good they teach theoretically and practically for each subjects. They are highly qualified having PhD in their fields. Semester xams are held every 6 months by Jharkhand University of Technology, Centres are allocated in different polytechnic colleges in the city. Also midterms or internal exams are held almost every month. Exam is not very hard to pass it's pretty basic and it depends on how much do you give interest to your subjects.
Internships Opportunities
Internships were upto students mostly to complete and there was no stipend in them. But 1or 2 students from each branch were offered internships by college on the basis of there marks. They got internship in JBVNL Power grid Near our college
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to apply for placements after 5th semester and many companies visit our college every year providing job opportunities. Name of the some of the companies visited this year are JSW STEEL, TATA STEEL, TATA POWER, Larsen and Toubro , etc. They provided on average of 15-20 offers for students . Average package was 5lpa and highest being 10lpa for student who got placed in TATA STEEL. They are offered jobs as site Junior Engineer. About 50% students got placed. I am planning to continue my studies further and completing B.Tech
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no fee hike policy as I got admission in 2018 with annual fee of Rs. 2855 and after next year I had to pay 2605 for 2 years every year. There is also scholarship programme for reserved category students. The course fees is very low as compared to other institutions. I didn't applied for job as I wanted to continue my studies further.
Campus Life
Annual fest is held each year in September, it is very enjoyable . The library is also pretty big and good having almost all books I needed during my course. Classroom has smart boards and different tools for interactive studies . There is a big ground to play sports inside the campus Although there is no sports activities conducted officially by our college. There are groups on many social media platforms for students
Hostel Facilities
Hostel , Hostel is good too with a big room for 3 people in each room with different bed and table for each person with 24×7 electricity and water supply . It is also very cheap in terms of cost as it costs only 852 rs each year. Meal quality is good you have to go to the mess to eat food. Registration is done offline in college for hostels it is very affordable. I didn't rented a room
