College worth its weight

The admission process was smoothly done without any hiccups. I'm a bit disappointed for not getting admission in the first counseling phase where I got admission at Gudlavaleru engineering college. However, I got it in second counseling. Minimum marks for getting admission now have changed earlier it was used to be 68 as lower bound in EAMCET. But, now I think the minimum marks for getting admission have increased to 75.

I've seen my uncle from close quarters doing a software job and I got inspired by his work so, I decided to take computer science as my course. Each class consists of 60 members and for every 25 members, a mentor was allocated by the college. Most of the faculty are vastly experienced in teaching with Ph.D. degrees. For every year there are two semesters with 4 midterms examinations.

Internships are provided for students who are interested in cap training from 1st year. But getting internships are very hard for our college students. Whoever got some intern opportunity they are given a stipend ranging from 5k to 30k per month.

Students are eligible for placements after completing the 1st semester in the 3rd year of the BTech course with a lot of companies visiting our college namely Infosys, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Capgemini etc... The highest package was 27LPA for students placed in Amazon and the minimum package offered was around 3.8LPA for each student.

Fee Structure for convenor quota students is excellent whereas, for management quota fee structure is quite high with students are expected to pay around 12 lakhs as course fee (4years). As far as placements are concerned college offers a lot of opportunities for each student who clears all subjects with a minimum of 6.5 cgpa.

Campus follows great hygiene standards. We conducted an annual fest and named it VIT VALIANT 2K19. our library is a rich resource for providing whatever books students wanted along with various journals. Our college has a sports club which allows us to dwell with students from different colleges in and around the city.

Hostels are well maintained with all amenities ranging from wifi, beds for ac hostel students. Meals are provided with an adequate amount of food I'd say the rating would be 3/5 for meals considering the fact that they provide at an affordable price.
