Entrance Preview

There was college entrance test in which I was in the merit list. I opted this college out of confusion. This was the second campus of the same foundation, I intended to get admission in the first campus as it was one of the good private college in the state. The college authorities doesn't changed campus and later I didn't had choice to pull out else give up a year.

Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

Course structure was updated by the university. We were provided outdated books from the college to study and were forced to attend the classes in which we were taught nothing. Exams has to be cleared on our own. There were some good teachers but most of them were just college pass outs.

Internships Opportunities

No, college didn't provide internship. My experience with the college was very poor. I didn't got placed from college. They only brought consultants for hiring.

Placement Experience

0.5

The placements was very very poor. The administration asked some of the students to bring the companies HR to college. There were only consultants who came to our college. I don't remember any good company coming to our college.

College Events

0.5

There was only one event during my four year college for which all the campuses were combined and Rs. 500 was collected from every student. It was of three days and there was no fun. I couldn't describe how was my terrible experience with this college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee was very expensive. We got admission at Rs. 80,000 per year after first year. First year costs about Rs 1,30,000. After our first year our fee reached to Rs. 1,00,000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college didn't offered anything as such. Scholarship was provided by the state government and you've to pay 10% of your scholarship to the management to get your scholarship application approved from the college.

Campus Life

0.5

Campus life was also very bad. We were not allowed to move in the campus during college hours, if found fine was imposed. You cannot go beyond the hostel gates, if opted for hostel. If you opt out of hostel, you were awarded with low internals in the college. There was no extracurricular activities. There was swimming pool and gym in the college which were only accessible after paying monthly fee.

Alumni/Alumna

We were not allowed to interact with our seniors. So, it is very difficult to say about seniors. Only few of us were in touch with seniors who used us to complete their projects. I only know this much so I cannot say much further about the seniors.

Exam Structure

Exams were okay as it was conducted by university, not the college. Exams were good. Labs was of no use. We didn't got to use any labs as there were no equipment in the college. There were few equipment but the faculty had no knowledge how to use them.

Admission

After clearing the entrance test, I filled out the admission form along with previous education documents, and the other necessary documents which were needed to be submitted like migration, photographs, etc. The administration was very good until you pay the fee.

Faculty

2

Some of the faculties were very educated but most of them didn't knew the course content. All the good teachers only stayed a month or two and they go away after facing the bad management authorities. The faculties who did everything according to management were only there but they had no knowledge. Faculties very also very rude, and were partial between boys and girls.

I have chosen this course because I have seen greater opportunities in this field of biotechnology abroad. Faculty to student ratio is about 1:25. Pictures of BEL qualified from top universities and their teaching methodology or really awesome day teach every concept from the starting to the endpoint. Sessional exams are done thrice in a semester and semester end semester exams are quite easy to pass if you regularly attend the class.
