Entrance Preview
Amity entrance exam. I scored 92% in the exam. Getting into Amity university is not that difficult if you have fared well in their entrance examinations. In addition to entrance examinations, they also offer admission to some students through management quota. So if you can spend a good deal of money, you can get into Amity.
Course Curriculum Overview
Amity University follows a Semester System which is in conformity with the global practices and standards. The Course curriculum of one year is taught into two semester i.e.,17-18 weeks each. In total there are eight semesters. The students are assessed at regular intervals. 30% weightage is given to continuous/internal assessment in a semester wherein 3-4 evaluation components with weightages are defined.
Placement Experience
As far as I remember all engineering students used to get placement in bulk in IT companies like Accenture, Wipro and some more companies. My other friends in biotechnology got placements in Accenture and Wipro. They got good start in terms of pocket money.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is one scholarship award which include 100% fee waiver and are awarded to the students who secure 93% aggregate and above in Class XII or 93% aggregate and above in Class XII and 80% in graduation.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the alumni network are helpful. I personally had not been in touch with them but some of my friends do and the seniors are really helpful.
Exam Structure
Exams are very fair at amity. Major exam conducts only two times in a year and rest are minors. In a semester(6 months), only one major and one minor happens.
Admission
Just Fill the application form, fit in their eligibility criteria , appear for written exam, personal interview, group discussions round (in some courses), wait for the result to be announced , pay the fees and you are admitted into Amity University. You need to be street smart to survive in Amity.
