Course Curriculum Overview
I'm a student of Bcom Hons management, I chose this as I want a career in management. The faculty is great and supportive, every semester the faculty changes. We have a semester system that is further divided into external and internal exams. Every semester students have to give 4 internal exams of each subject out of which the best 3 are selected and for external one main exam is conducted. The exams are moderately difficult. Internals are easy as compared to the external examination.
Internships Opportunities
Various companies like MomsKart offer internships to students. Every month there are one or more internships available for the students. The selection process is totally up to the company. Usually, marketing, Human resources, and sales internships are offered to the students. Students are supposed to handle the marketing work under the supervision of the seniors.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible from the last semester but can apply for internships from the first semester onwards. The companies that offer placement are Amazon, nestle, arttech, Aditya Birla sun Life insurance, MomsKart, wipro and many more. The percentage is not very high but students do get placements. My plan after getting my Undergraduate degree is to do my masters in business administration from an IIM and for that I'm preparing for my CAT and after completing my MBA I am planning to do CFA ( Certified Financial Analyst).
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for my course (Bcom Hons management with accounts) is 18600 yearly. Scholarship is available for the weaker sections. The main scheme is Medhavi chatra scholarship in this the candidate must have 85% above in 12th and family income less than 8lpa. 100% fees is refunded in this scheme. The candidate has to pay only 2000 and 1 for the first year 2 for the second and 3 for the third year. The hostel is affordable too being it semi government institute. The campus selection is not too great but some high end companies do come and offer placement. Students can also apply for internships and certificate courses.
Campus Life
The social life was not really happening during my first year. We witnessed two fests in one year. One was the commerce fest which had competitions in it then we had a traditional day during February which included students coming in traditional attire and enjoying performances done by the students. Our college also organizes a campus drive which invites various kinds of companies to our campus. The companies range from Amazon to many more high-end recruiting companies. If we talk about clubs then we have placement cell and Swami Vivekananda cell, students have to go through an interview to be a part of them and have to do tasks given by superiors to get a certificate. They also have an official Website through which we get updated on what is happening in the college.
