Remarks

I applied for SMS medical college Jaipur but did not join because the cut off marks for the SMS medical college was a little higher than my entrance exam marks I get admission in a general category by Rajasthan medical counseling. The minimum age for my program is 17 years and the marks depend on the entrance exam because the entrance exam National eligibility cum entrance test (NEET) is a national level medical entrance exam. On the counseling day I submitted my original documents and the DD in the favor of the principal to the counseling members of JLN medical college, the counseling was held in SMS hospital and medical college, colleges were allotted by online process and the documents were verified offline, after that I received a joining letter and I reported at the JLN medical college administration department, where I have to submit the anti-ragging form also, after that I joined the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because I want to help people regarding their health and i want to surve the people and save them , in brief i wanted to be a doctor. Faculty student radio in this college is good , all the topics are taught by separate teachers i mean a separate teacher for a special topic. All the teachers are post graduated and nost of them have received super speciality degree from recognized universities. They have enough experience of patients. The exams are like semester system , after every 5-6 months we have to appear in internal exams and after semester there is university exam which is conducted by RAJASTHAN UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES JAIPUR . It is not so difficult to pass the exam but as it is medical degree and MBBS is the one of toughest courses so it is a little difficult for some students.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Mainly we have to complete the compulsory internship in JLN Hospital which is attached to JLN medical college, the main role is as the doctor who helps resident doctors in the ward. Some projects are to receive the health data from a special area , give treatment to the patients.

Placement Experience

4

After the 8th semester and one year of compulsory internship students are eligible for placements. Mainly the pharma companies like Sunpharma visit the college for doctors and medical officers but offers are variable. Highest package is Medical officer in AIIMS who get about 840000/annum and average package is about 500000/annum All most all students are placed in government or private sector After getting the degree i will join the post graduate programme for specialization.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for government seats for general and OBC boys is about 25000/ annum , for girls and SC ST students it is about 13000/annum. For NRI seats it is 70000 DOLLAR for entire MBBS. Fee hike is depends on the state government as it is the government medical college run by the rajasthan medical education department. Students can get scholarship from the government and some of the societies also provides scholarship to the students of some special categories , to the financial poor students . In the compulsory internship students receive a 14500/month stipend from Rajasthan government. We can work in the hospital.

Campus Life

4

The annual cult fest is organized by the students at the college mostly in march but it depends on the situation like exams and all, it is for seven days in which there are different activities related to culture and entertainment, participants also receive some awards. There is a big library in the medical college, in which there are about 4000 books and there is an E-library for medical journals and ebooks. Sports events are also organized by the student union. There is a research group in the medical college named ALOHOMOHORA

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the MBBS course curriculum as highly relevant and comprehensive. It covers essential subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology in great detail. The curriculum also addresses a variety of specialties, providing a broad understanding of different areas of medicine. Overall, the course prepares students for the challenges of modern medical practices. The exams are conducted on the yearly basis which are conducted by university. Although internal exams are also conducted by the college which also helps in testing are knowledge and level of preparation.
