Remarks

The admission process at IBS was very smooth and was conducted without any hiccups. I am not really sure of any quota criteria available at our college. I secured my admission basis my CAT score which was around 80%ile. The main screening and admission process took place at the main campus in Hyderabad. This was Feb 2020, before the nation was hit with the first wave of Covid-19. The students were called to the Hyderabad Admissions Office and then sent to the Campus via buses arranged by the institute. We were seated at designated areas for waiting then shown the way towards registration desks. Further, were given slots for a presentation and were told to be ready for Group Discussions. Finally, were shown towards the personal interview rooms as per the schedule and had multiple panels for a speedy process. I was selected for the main Hyderabad campus, however, was transferred to Mumbai on my request and the process for transfer too was smooth and easy with the helpful IBS coordinators.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

IBS Mumbai has a very good reputation and tracks record when it comes to its placements. The college has the returns on investments as compared to any of the sister institutes. I opted for the marketing domain here because of my keen interest in the world of marketing. The faculty here are highly educated, supportive, and managing to impart the best possible knowledge to their students from the mediums available to them.IBS was one of the very first institutes to adapt to this work-from-home scenario. The evaluation is continuous and they do consider your class participation, class test marks, projects, and group activities, and conduct exams twice in each semester.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

As we are the batch of '22 (the pandemic batch) we were not alloted a lot of internships with stipends however, the college made sure to have all of their students being placed at reputed companies like Outlook, Shapoorji Pallonji, Aditya Birla, Future Generali, DHL Express, SD Corp, etc. The college also allowed students to opt for internships which they secured through their personal contacts. Few of the companies do provide stipends up to 25k per month for the standard internship duration of 3 months.

Placement Experience

3.5

The campus placements are very high and very close to 100%. The students become eligible from the 3rd Sem for the campus placements. There are multiple well-known companies that are regular recruiters on the campus, for instance, Morgan Stanley, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Amul, DHL, Radio Mirchi, etc. The avg package for the batch of 2020 was 6.71LPA, however that dropped to 6.34LPA for the following batch due to the pandemic. The course is a PGPM course and not an MBA, hence if anyone wants to opt for further education, the college helps them get an MBA degree from their affiliation with a sister institute (not sure which one but it was IBS Jaipur from what I remember).

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission fee was 80000 and the rest of the fees was divided into 5 instalments set 3 4 months apart. Furthermore, due to the pandemic time, they further introduced the scheme of paying the fees each month. Top-performing students would get monetary gifts and merit certificates from the college. There might be financial assistance but i didn't enquire.

Campus Life

4

Due to the Covid-19 scenario, couldn't visit the campus. But there are almost 25 clubs which are managed by students for different technical and cultural activities. The college also made a provision of e-library available to the students who are studying remotely due to the current situation.

Interview Experience

4

Most of the GD topics were abstract and the interview questions were mostly based on the resume submitted. They were trying to gauge the dedication of the candidate towards the course and how passionate he is about the same. There was no written test conducted during the admission process.

Placement Experience:

The placements depend upon which Specialization you're in. If you're a marketing student there will be lots of good companies coming in for placements followed by finance and then HR. You become eligible for placement from 3rd semester. Companies such as Deloitte, PWC, TCS, HCL, etc. visit the campus for placements and offer a good amount of Packages.

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mixed bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

College is almost good .this for those who want only masters but no placement .if you also want to get placed in any company need only degree ur welcome. The management is worst the nonteaching staff doesn't know how to talk with students especially the admission office. I here declare whatever I have seen and suffered I presented my view about this college to you, not it's your choice to go to heaven like symbiosis or choose hell. I was misguided and helpless so I came here means I got fewer marks in a snap so please students appear for snap sincerely.
