Student's Experience-ICFAI Business School

I applied for IBS and we had interviews conducted in Hyderabad at the IBS Hyderabad campus. We had been providing all the details of the journey like where its location is exactly located and how we can travel and which means of transport is available. They also provided nearest lodging accommodation area names. On the interview day, we first registered ourselves and did the documents verification like academic results and personal identification. Later on, the batch number was been assigned and the time when our interview going to start.

The faculty here understands the point of view of students and accordingly helps us with our doubts. Professors keep on changing their teaching style to make the class effective and interactive. If we have any doubts after the class we can mail our doubts to the professor and they would respond to us. We had Sem 1 (mid sem and final sem) and Sem 2 exam( mid sem and final sem) both sem were 100 marks each. The college tried to put a mixture of questions like theoretical and practical by way of MCQ, short answer, case study explanation.

In the hard covid phase some companies pay for stipend some weren't. The HR interns got a 25000 per month as well marketing. The Finance interns ranged 7000-10000. some were unpaid as well depending upon the brand value of the company. The company gives the learnings and knowledge to our projects. We had taken different topic for research in our domain learning wherein we got leanings about market and companies. We included some strategies like Swot analysis, Porter 5 rules to get more study about industry and company.

The college is very concerned about the student's placement so they bring new companies wherein students can get placed. They provide us training for GD and PI conduct mocks with experts. How to groom ourselves and important things to keep in mind. They conduct sessions depending upon the need for corporate-like excel knowledge, interaction so colleges conduct workshops for these accordingly. The highest placement last year was 15l for Marketing. Some of the top recruiters come from JP Morgan, EY, Icici bank, and so on.

Total fees are Rs 801000 including 80,0000 registration fees for 2 years program. There is 5 installment of 144000 each and 10,000 deposits fess additional which will be refundable after the program. They had provided bridge loan facilities in the corona phase in which we can pay monthly installments of rs 36000. If we stand on the merit list in academics we will get scholarships depending upon where we stand in the list.

There are many clubs in our college for different specialization and streams like M360 for marketing, kautilya for economic and finance, corporate connect for overall corporate exposure, synergy for HR , Rotaract club, and so on. There are different clubs for personality development like Dfusion for dance, balldist for writers. The clubs help to make good networks and connections and to sharpen our skills. The college as Intercollegiate fest Konflux wherein all clubs organize the events of their domain and participate in the events in large numbers as there are cash prizes and certificates provided.

Yes, first we had group discussions. We were 10 candidates in a group and a topic was given to us. After the discussion, we had a personal interview. The topic for Gd was of the current affairs, political and point of view on topics like Digitalization is boom or curse so on. In interview rounds, they tried to know about our interest and dedication level toward the study of this program.
